Thread: Issue with erection with condom
- 04-14-2016 #1
I have noticed that when I am about to engage in sexual activity and thus put on a condom, I start to go a bit soft, then if I have issue penetrating, I go completely soft. However, if I have sex without a condom, I am completely fine. This second option is not always convenient as I do not wish to get someone pregnant or get an STD. A side note: if I engaged in touching/kissing, the erection returns.
Have any of you experienced such isolated ED? It is becoming worrisome to say the least.
Any suggestions are appreciated.Start (11.7.15)

This happens to me when some idiot female puts a standard size condom on me .
Have you tried different size/brand?

I have. The weird thing is that I am rather small in length, but at the base a magnum fits snug and thus leaves a red mark on my skin after prolonged use. Otherwise it is loose on the shaft/head. That is not a good thing when pounding away.
Standard condoms fit really tight. I am in between sizes and cannot seem to find one that true works.
I have gotten various kinds and am experimenting with masturbation with a condom. I hope this helps.
However, I am sure there is some anxiety involved. I tend to have a low self opinion of myself, especially since I have loose skin in most areas of my body (been overweight almost my entire life, and have now lost 70 lbs with working out and eating better). As well, angle is an issue for me. Seems it is difficult to find a good angle to penetrate.Start (11.7.15)

Sounds like you do not like tight . There are a number of options that are 54mm or 56mm throughout you might look at .
Surprised you are having this issue at 4.75" girth any standard condom should work . Have you had recent growth?

Pegasus, I do believe I have. I have yet to measure, but when I am edging my unit feels bigger than before. I do like a secure fit, but too tight is just too tight. I will look into those sizes and hope to find one that suits my needs. I will prob order enough to get my through the apocalypse, lol.

Most guys do not run into problems with standard fit till 5.25 or 5.5" girth but there is a lot of individual vary and you should wear what is comfortable.

This site has some good stats on sizes of different condoms:
Condom Size Chart - Small, Regular & Large Size Section
The tightness of a condom around the base is a combination of length and width. If the condom is too long, the extra material is unable to unroll and acts like a tourniquet. Hence the red mark. In Europe they have a larger range of sizes that are allowed to be sold. A UK company offering custom fitted condoms was recently acquired by a US company. They have been given FDA approval to sell a broader range of sizes that will be available in the fall, including shorter and wider condoms.
According to the size chart, a magnum is 54 mm wide at the base. However, the head is 60 mm wide. It is tapered in between. Perhaps you need one that is the same width at the head and base, maybe 56 mm and as short as possible.Last edited by John Dough; 05-26-2016 at 08:21 PM.
