  • My testosterone level came back-PROVIRON?

    Hi guys!

I had been in this forum when I was having severe depression because of my sudden changed libido compared to my teen years and you struggled to convince that all things are in my mind and really convinced me.

I adapted to my new lifestyle.
Approximately 2-3 times sex and every one of them results in 1 ejaculation and I have not low but not high libido.

I have no morning woods but no erection problems too...

    To the subject !

I am having baldness and doctors checked everything except DHT and Free Testosterone.

All came back with good results and my TOTAL TESTOSTERONE came back 2.4-9.5 as 5.7 and I think for a 26 years old man this is a little low.

My free testosterone wasn’t calculated but it was below the parameters when I had checked it 1 years ago.

I know that if you have higher free testosterone you will have lower DHT.

I want to get PROVIRON to get more free testosterone and lower DHT.

Does PROVIRON suppress natural production of testosterone ?

And what do you think about my result?

    Total Testosteron 5.76 μg/L 2.4 - 9.5
    Androstenedion 1.39 μg/L 0.6 - 3.1
    DHEA-S 341.4 μg/L 80 - 560

576 Total Testosterone and I had a test of free testosterone which came back below the limits in the past and doctor said that the test of free testosterone is not always accurate and I think this is wrong. When he repeated it he saw the below limits again.

Now I think that in order to regain libido and have some active testosterone I should use Proviron. My SHBG was in the average levels and isn’t the cause of low free testosterone.

      What do you think ?

My Total to my age is good?

And should I use PROVIRON and is it a suppressor or something to use for a long time ? I don’t want to have shrinked testicles

Free test should be done by sensitive method . The test normally used is a bit of a guesstimate .

Total test is a bit meh for your age but that level would not normally cause issues .

You need free test done by sensitive method . Then you need to know the cause and treat it . Treatment by natural methods like weight loss may be all that is required.

Maybe the cause of a little less result is the sample was taken in 11:15 AM which is not an early morning.

1-What level can we say as normal ?
2-Does PROVIRON makes anything to my libido and is it suppressive?

          Thanks in advance !

As I have 570 total testosterone I don’t have to worry about anything because also my test was taken at 11Am.

              But I asked another question.

Is PROVIRON suppressive? May I have lower total testosterone levels than today’s results?
I need a free testosterone and libido boost!

Seems to me you need to lose the anxiety and get your head together. The number of reasons for lowered libido are numerous you seem to have fixated on free test without good reason .

You also seem to have stretched it further to fixate on proviron

If you check my latest posts from last years you can see since when I have been struggling with low libido and you were among the ones replied to my questions.

Thanks for your replies and neither my mind nor your answers are clear about PROVIRON.

I did a google search for "proviron libido" and read through some forums... As Pegasus said, there are many reasons for lowered libido. There a quite a few ways to get your body to boost testosterone naturally. Also, consider things that help with getting and maintaining erections to help with confidence, which can help boost your libido... Cialis, Viagra, Yohimbe, Arginine, etc. Try the natural route first and then the boner pills before going after testosterone supplements, as your body can end up producing less testosterone over time and only make things worse.

I am no expert in drug use my experience though is they are best avoided if possible .

Here is some methodology on total test increse

                      https://www.pegym.com/forums/exercis...tosterone.html

I would look at estrogen and it;s relationship to test. If estrogen is raised it can cause these issues
                      Some ideas on lowering estrogen
rder to lower estrogen, you don't need to take any supplements such as aromatase inhibitors. You can get them from food and sunlight.
Just eat white button mushrooms, citrus fruits, broccoli, brussels sprouts, spice up your food with turmeric and black pepper, drink a glass of red wine per day and get a healthy dose of sunlight to increase your vitamin D levels.
Also, the amount of fat you have is directly connected with how much estrogen you produce since fat cells contain the aromatase enzyme. Losing weight and lowering fat percentage will help lower aromatase enzyme, while detox, estrogen blockers and aromatase inhibitors will help with weight loss.

Seek the advice of a top notch uro before considering hrt . Good luck with that they are hard to find.

Echoing Pegasus, here is another article on testosterone increasing tactics: https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/art...-testosterone/

I should note that I am by no means am I an expert whatsoever on this topic - but I've listened to Ben's podcast and he seems to be fairly well read on a variety of health topics and have some qualifications in that field. Whether that makes him correct is beyond me.

What I liked about it is, similar to the examples Pegasus gave on diet, vitamin D etc, Ben's article lists some simple changes like Zinc and Magnesium and workout strategies etc. that may help and are immediately actionable (that said, the article also has some more extreme suggestions that require clinical expertise that I definitely wouldn't suggest!)

                        Best of luck resolving this!
