I am confused about Kegel exercises

    Hi!

    I am not sure about how should i be doing Kegel's, i just learned that i can do front kegel, back kegel etc.

    Is a normal kegel when i squeeze front and back muscles, including my anus?

    I read that to find the pc muscle all i need to do is stop my pee midstream, i can do that just using my front muscles, so i just need to squeeze my front muscles when training or trying to have a DO?

    Another thing, when exercising my ic muscle i notice that i cant do it without squeezing my muscles around my anus is that ok?

    With kegel training the normal progression is to start with being able to do a kegel as in to contract all the pf muscles together . From there over time increase the ability to isolate ;so front kegel , back kegel etc while keeping everything in balance .

    A point here if your kegel training gets too far ahead of your rk (or like ) training you run into injury risk

    Just squeeze like you are cutting off the urine flow. I never found these
    counterproductive. To this day, they have only helped me in many, many
    ways. This makes almost 20 years for me.
