I have never been much of a fan of apple. That, and every song and the likes that my wife has is captive in the apple system- mine isn't brand-stuck. I don't have to buy Samsung to have access to my music, pictures, etc.
That and she is consistently jealous of my phone- better camera, screen, doesn't turn into a brick on the first software update after a new model drops.... heck, my S8 Active works better than her XR.

Android, although no one has beaten Apple's mobile processors, they are super fast. Decent cameras too. It's just that Iphones are incredibly overpriced.

Android.
I was an early adopter. Had a tablet back in 2007 or so. Then got iphone 3 when it came out. Had a lot of fun with it, but itunes is such a pain. Everything has to go through the interface and it is just so cumbersome and lacks user control, everything is at least 5 steps after the itunes starts up. And just try to get rid of an app!
Had to give it up and go Android for the phone. Tablet is now windows.
Want music on the phone on Android? Plug the phone into the computer and cut and paste. Want to move pictures, same. Don't like an app? uninstall. No hassle.03/2015 Start <Able to last ~ 2 mins PIV>
