Thread: Hillary's America...
- 10-07-2016 #131
I am going by Politifact, and honestly you don't really need it. Listen to the man for more than 2 hours and anyone would find out anyways.
I'm not quite sure if your tax system works the same as ours, but I imagine it is. Over here you are expected to make a loss your first few years of trading or pursuing a new business venture due to set up costs etc. The years costs are offset against your tax, so I imagine Trump employing so many has a hell of a lot of expenses which get deducted from his taxes.
I don't get the logic anyway, should he pay tax on money that he has lost?
I don't know the tax code enough, and I'm unsure whether the almost billion Trump lost was actually his money or if it was the money that whatever business he had a part in, whether fully owned or just partly owned, lost money.
Imagine you plant apple seeds in a garden hoping they will grow into apple trees so you can sell apples and the seeds cost you $5. If those trees fail to grow or die, is it fair to charge you tax on the $5 you lost? You made no profit and have no apples, you made a loss, so I can't really ask for taxes on something you don't have. You will have already paid tax on the seeds in the first place by the simple act of purchasing them.
Don't know if this makes sense, but by charging you tax on the money you invested, hoping to make a return on, but lost, it would be a little like kicking a man in the nuts after he's had a vasectomy.
That's in part how many abuse the system, which is the biggest problem about taxes right now. Every day folk can't go ahead and pay nothing, without some crazy severe cases, without the government breathing down your neck. Heck some people in the middle and lower class pay zero and we look and think of them like leeches, so why do we mostly turn a blind eye to the businesses and top 5%?
Why would Trump say "he is smart" for not paying taxes if the only reason he doesn't pay them is because he lost money? That doesn't sound smart to lose money, especially almost a billion. It contradicts the huge loss or it means he isn't paying taxes because he is abusing those loop holes like many others.
I'm glad you see, but I'm not talking about Trump like he's the lesser evil, but maybe the necessary one. Even though I don't see him as all that evil personally.
I also want to make it clear, I am not trying to persuade you nor anyone over to Hillary, nor over to Trump, but trying to help people see that those they are practically worshiping, and some of you folks (not necessarily yourself) here are definitely zealots of one side or another. It pains me to see that bias rules many of you and that you can't step back and really look at the real issues, rather than sticking to your candidate like you're some kind of remora needing your shark to feed off of.
I'm confused....why are background checks bad when buying a gun? The way you are making this look is that it is a terrible thing that people get checked out before being able to buy something that throws metal at 1,000+ mph.
Also how would Hillary being elected in November 2016 affect stuff two months before it in September 2016?
Also also, using a made up number at the end doesn't help convince and hurts any argument or info you may be bringing forth.Last edited by Dontrike; 10-07-2016 at 05:33 AM.

I never said background checks were Bad! Your words "Dontrike" NOT MINE!
I have gone thru a "Background Check" for everyone of my Gun purchases since the 1970's. I recently purchased another firearm and a Gun Safe. The facts are are Never in the HISTORY of the U.S. have we seen RECORD Numbers for gun purchases since the FBI started keeping track.
Gun stores are packed like never before and when I purchased my safe at a Safe store it was also packed. The Safe Store ONLY sells Safes. You have to ask yourself why.
"Also how would Hillary being elected in November 2016 affect stuff two months before it in September 2016?"
Your question shows your lack of the proverbial finger on the pulse of America.
Both the 1st and 2nd amendments are under assault by the Democrats.
As I have posted before, if we were to have done the things the Clinton's have done . . . We would be in Jail awaiting Trial with a Bail SO HIGH that even Donald Trump would not be able to Bail Us Out!“The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything” Albert Einstein

Except you made it sound bad through out that entire post, which is something I expressed in my second sentence, but I guess only focusing on the first sentence is more fun than reading the next sentence after it. Your entire post made it sound bad that more background checks would happen.
"Also how would Hillary being elected in November 2016 affect stuff two months before it in September 2016?"
Am I crazy? Because you literally said "If she becomes president in November" that means she HAS to become president and there is no guarantee in this logic by you using the word "if", then two months in the past the gun background checks will increase for something that has YET TO HAPPEN. A thing in the future cannot have an affect on the past. By your logic if she doesn't become president then numbers won't go up, but if she does IN THE FUTURE then gun background checks will go up in the past, before she became president. So somehow the people that would buy guns and get a background check would have happened already before she became president, but if Trump is president than the background checks in September, two months before November, would be lower?
None of that makes sense. I don't care about the gun shit or the dumbass political stuff at the moment, that logic right there, makes zero sense. I mean...wh...what?!
That's like saying that hurricane Matthew caused gas prices to go up two months ago. Do you see the problem with that logic?
People are going to buy that stuff no matter what, because they are scared little sheep that something of theirs is going to be taken away. This has happened EVERY election cycle. This is nothing new.
Your question shows your lack of the proverbial finger on the pulse of America.
Both the 1st and 2nd amendments are under assault by the Democrats.
As for the 2nd amendment stuff, if you say so. I don't know, but you have that right to believe it, if it is true or not. Guns are a problem right now, and honestly I can't come up with a solution, because the issue is too big for me to solve in a paragraph, but you have to admit that there is an issue. That doesn't mean guns should be taken away, because that is impossible logistically and because people will revolt, but something does need to happen. What it is I can't say, but hopefully some day we won't have to get used to the news headline of "15 People Shot Dead" and all this by one person, every single day.
And honestly republicans were talking about Obama taking guns away and it never happened, this is just another election where you are being distracted by this "argument" yet again when you know it will never happen.
As I have posted before, if we were to have done the things the Clinton's have done . . . We would be in Jail awaiting Trial with a Bail SO HIGH that even Donald Trump would not be able to Bail Us Out!
They are both shit heads, colossal whale fucking shit heads. I don't know why you stick up for one person over the other when they are both terrible.
Look, it doesn't matter to me who gets voted in, it doesn't, because no matter what these two are both unqualified fuck nuggets that I wouldn't trust with running a Dairy Queen, let alone the country, and in the end the same stupid shit is going to happen. You have to be willing to see fault in the people you are behind, because if you don't then you are blind to the problems and the risks that that both Trump and Hillary have. Let your bias go, seriously.
This whole election is like watching some show on TNT or USA networks where they try and get criminals to do good things and help people, but unfortunately the two characters of this show (the election) are not ones any of us want to be following.Last edited by Dontrike; 10-07-2016 at 11:27 AM.

Its not about feeding off anyone. Its about which candidate is going to protect your freedoms. Hillary is allying herself with the social justice warriors who want to tell you what you are allowed to say and do and are pro - collective/big government/identity politics. Remember she was talking about those rioters as though they were victims. What if it was your property? I'm sure you would want them held accountable, because if your anything like me you can't afford to just buy a new car and insurance is unlikely to cover rioters... Trump I believe is pro - freedom/individual/capitalism and will uphold your constitution.
Trump might say he is smart for not paying taxes twice which is why business expenses get deducted from your tax bill."Those who know others have knowledge,
those who know themselves have insight.

those who master themselves have strength". - Lao Tzu

Hillary and Bill Clinton used America's labyrinthine tax code minimize their exposure to Federal taxes including shell companies in Delaware, and avoidance schemes to minimize estate taxes. Hillary used a similar method of avoiding federal taxes in 2015 that Donald Trump did in 1995.
According to Hillary's tax returns--which she's published on her website--the Democratic nominee reported close to $700,000 in long-term capital losses in 2015:

I'm not sure if this is finding what I put legitimately funny or so stupid that it is funny to you, either way got a laugh I guess, and that's always good.
We've already had this conversation about the rioters, and I believe that they should be punished for doing that shit. The only people who are "victims" are maybe the people that knew those that got shot, after that all of those people were just doing it to feel like they are adding to a great cause, but we know they are just criminals who are burning down their own city.
I agree they need to be punished, if the cops are at fault or not. But honestly I don't trust Trump nor Hillary, and it is incredible that any of you do. It's like trusting a conman not to swindle you. They are both absolutely the worst, that's all I'm arguing about, and yet none of you can even start with telling me anything wrong about your candidate. Why stand up for walking tumors, the only difference between them is that one is orange and one has boobs.
Trump might say he is smart for not paying taxes twice which is why business expenses get deducted from your tax bill.
Personally I'd rather be...
