When hiring employees for professional or skilled jobs, you hire the people based on qualifications not on need. If you don't have accounting skills, you are not qualified to be a bookkeeper. Employers want to hire people who will benefit the company not those that will be a drag on the company's competitiveness and growth.

We don't make enough steel in this country to make a battleship. Hell we don't make tires do we? We still are dependent to a large extent on imported oil. If a war broke out tomorrow will China sell us the steel to build the ships we need to fight it? Will the Arabs give us he oil we need? Will the Koreans and Japanese sell us the tires needed for jeeps and other transport? Makes us a bit vulnerable does it not?

So we don't need the coal miners, the oil drillers, the machinist; we can get that stuff they used to make anywhere in the world, if they want to sell it to us?

Well my father only had a high school education and he was able to provide for us very well . Nowadays it's there is a job for someone like that but it isn't going to pay shit. Sure many of the jobs required some skill such as a machinist, welder and so on but it was within the reach of someone who did not move on to a college education.. There were some good paying jobs back then for them to provide for there family and most of those jobs are now overseas. When I was young there were jobs a the local convenience store that were filled mostly by young kids. Nowadays I walk into a convenience store and see people in their 40's and 50's struggling to make a living in these crap jobs. Take a look at the hard working people who have not achieved the education you are talking about, struggling along to make a living and you decide if they deserve a little better or not. Yup, fuck the lower class.

My son was addicted to drugs and never made it to his highschool graduation. His first job was a telemarketer. He took classes in a trade school and today he works for himself as a computer graphics designer and lives comfortably with his daughter in Arizona.

You are talking about jobs that don't require education? I worked as a Union Carpenter for 7 years until I could get a job that could pass a background check. Your Republican politicians are the ones destroying the good paying Union jobs. Or get a non Union job with no benefits, no retirement, not paying shit. I support all people. Construction jobs are booming in Chicago. These are not the jobs I'm talking about. If you are a Union worker, you have skills and there are plenty of jobs out there. But when you tell someone to go get a job and they have no skills, they won't get a job beyond Walmart. The President won't change that.

Look at the party trying to kill Unions that pay a living wage to people without a college education. Its the Republican Party. Period. Try to defend that all you want. I see non Union construction everyday. Maybe $20/hr with zero benefits or retirement. That won't cut it to live in the North. Compared to Union wages which give a pension and $38/hr. But Republicans want to kill Unions. I'll take a Union job anyday.

You are talking about workers from the 50's, they were almost all Union workers that could support a family, just like today. Its the non Union workers getting screwed, the same people that vote Republican.

I definitely do not support illegal immigration. This is one area where I agree with Trump. I don't think a wall should be our number one focus, but we should not be giving tax payer money to illegal immigrants.

The whole entitlement systems needs reform. Too many capable people living off the government or having more babies to get a bigger check. It blows my mind when I see a woman that can't even speak English using these government checks to buy groceries. That is bullshit. How does she get free money even she is legal? If you can't support yourself and your kids you shouldn'tbe allowed to come to the US and collect a check.

In my opinion, secure the border. Give the current illegals a path to citizenship as long as they are not a criminal. (Aside from being here illegally). And no more people can come. I would create some cheap government program that would make people work to collect their welfare check. You don't have a job and want a government check? Show up everyday at 8am and have them pick up garbage, wash government vehicles or whatever. But you dont get to sit in your government subsidized housing playing Xbox that you bought with my money and wait for a check.

My problem is the kids. Its not their fault. We can't just let them starve so Im a little torn about that. Give someone government assistance to help feed their kids or let the kid go hungry? I don't have an answer for that.

If it bothers you that capable people are living off the government do you really think the Democrats and Hillary will change that or increase it? You know the answer as well as I do. A vote for Hillary will increase the number of people living off the government, your hard work. Oh you can tax the rich all you want but there is not enough of them to pay for all that will be given out so sooner or later it will come down to the middle class as it always does. Your vote will help secure that.

Donnie you complain about not getting a job; well with this economy you wont. Why not give Trump a chance and see if he can create new jobs. What do you have to lose?

Because I know that to fix a problem you don't bring in someone not capable for the job. Neither of them are good choices. I would rather take Ronald Reagen's skeleton over either of these two, at least I know the skeleton isn't going to fix anything, because it literally can't do anything, but it also can't make anything worse, because it literally can't do anything.

That's like telling someone getting kicked in the nuts the solution to the problem is to have the person doing the kicking try the other foot. That's like telling a cocaine addict to try meth instead. You don't fix a problem by introducing a solution that is just as bad, if not worse.

What do I have to lose? Nothing, personally, because I have literally nothing to lose, but the country as a whole can definitely keep slipping down the shit slope, and both of these candidates aren't looking for a way to help us climb back up, but instead are looking for what lube can make is go faster down to the shit hole we keep digging for ourselves.

Everyone thinks this election is some heads or tails, apple or oranges, kind of deal where one is so different from the other and that one is bringing us to salvation and the other to utter destruction, but in reality there is no choice here because these two cock thistles are one and the same. Instead of arguing over which is worse people should realize that we deserve better than these two bags of whale jizz.

Look, I'm not disagreeing that the corruption needs to stop, it really should stop, but you can't sit there and tell me that Trump is the man for the job, just like no one can tell me Hillary is the one for the job either. He is just as corrupt as Hillary and I find it strange that you, or anyone else for that matter, think he isn't corrupt eight ways to Sunday.

If you can't get a job right now it means you have no skills. The job market is booming. Is Trump going to create magic jobs for people with no skills. If you have no skills, Walmart and McDonalds are hiring.

My company is on a non stop hiring frenzy. We interview people every single day and pass because people lack the skills needed. I literally interview someone face to face 2 to 3 days a week but pass on most.

A President cannot get you a job, they can only help create an environment that make companies have a demand to hire. That is the current environment. But if you have no skills, it doesnt matter how many jobs are available.

I'm going to call bullshit here. I can't get a better job in the only thing I know how to do right now, and I have two years experience in it, because no one is hiring and if they are hiring you don't have enough strings to pull on to get hired. Also, kind of hard to get experience in something when no one will hire to get experience, because you no experience.

Hell, I couldn't even get jobs in shit like Wal-Mart and McDonald's. When I got my first job, at Wendy's it was after a year of applications, and I only had two interviews TOTAL. For my second job, I worked at a Discount Drug-Mart as a stocker, I applied 10 different over a year (among other places) and only got in AFTER my friend gave me a recommendation, even though they constantly were hiring for that position and stock isn't exactly rocket science. The only reason I got my 3rd current job, janitorial service, was because my step-dad met the guy and his wife at a Chinese buffet and overheard them talking, so I wouldn't have known about this job if it wasn't by some random luck shining down on someone else one day.

These are all practically brain dead positions that took me months of going after, or some random miracle, to happen. Now that I am in janitorial work, which is a career path for some, I can't find fuck for shit. I've had ONE INTERVIEW, after 6 months of looking, with two years of experience in this industry, helped with proposals, talking to management of each account, training employees, and came up with plans to do the jobs faster and for less expense and yet with all of that I can't get a face to face interview for the life of me. I mean fuck, I can't even get an e-mail back with a rejection, let alone an interview.
