I am 29 but look and feel <19. I would 19 again for the second chance at being a young adult. I feel like I wasted the last ten years joining the military, getting married, getting divorced, dealing with a lot of depresson, and being broke and homeless. And getting fat! Worst mistake of my life was eating through stress and turning my 4-pack, at 19, into a keg.

New Question:
Tell us about someone you either envy, look up to, or despise, and why?“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”

Hmmm, a lot of humble folks that don't want to bash anybody...
I personally really looked up to my father. He passed this last summer. He was the first in his family to go to college, first in the family to go to graduate school and first to receive his medical degree and was a prominent cardiologist in the city where I grew up. Personal physician to the mayor of a major city, was acting Director for the County Hospital while maintaining his practice. His father died when he was 5 and he was raised but a single mother who was a chef at a country club. Self made, smart, rational, and always available to talk. My greatest fear growing up was that I was going to disappoint this man. Somehow I hope that I can touch as many people as he did during his life.“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”

I can't think of anyone that inspires those emotions in me. I guess my father inspired disapproval in me. He had and abandoned 10 children. When he was around he abused the women and children. He beat me so badly with a belt and one time tore my scrotum open. He refused me any medical care so I had to tape it closed and keep it clean. I was 11 so I didn't really know much about wound care. Anyway there is a good chance this is why my testosterone is so low. Also why I may lose a testicle. Anyway he was despicable.

Oh my goodness, Wishful that is so terrible.
I actually felt choked up reading your post. I know you shouldn't hate people and try and find forgiveness in your heart but honestly I can't.

I don't have anybody in particular that I despise but I have absolute hatred for anyone that hurts children, animals or the elderly. Anyone that targets weaker people then them.
As I've mentioned before my husband edits the newspapers I read to remove such stories as they upset me to the core.

Happier note - I look up to my brother.
He's like the perfect man in my eyes. He left school at 13 to work down the pit, (I'm from a port and coal mining town) to support our Mam. Hardly any education.
He works hard, very honest family man. Much more successful now then I'll ever be, (I think as I had it a lot easier than him as a child) with numerous houses and a great job.
He practically raised me as a baby when he was a 18 years old man. Got me doing kick boxing as a young teenager to defend myself and bought me my first car at 17 after teaching me to drive.
I could go on and on about him.
