I have been animal free for about five years. I can't believe the freedom we now have to leave on the spear of the moment for as long as we want to be away. Not having to get up early in the morning on rainy or snowy days. I no longer have to collect my dogs pee and dip in a test strip to determine how much insulin to inject.
I enjoyed them when they were there, but Life now is so much more relaxing.Valued Member of 11+ years at the PEGym12/'09 (start) NBP EL - 4.5, EG - 4.4

Currently the animals in my house are two cats. My step-dad got them after the last cat we had needed to be put down for how sick it was and wanted my mom to have something to keep her busy during her more unstable years. They are still around one loves to just jump and flip while the other loves feet.
Before that the houses I've lived in have ranged from almost pet store to your average every day house with a couple pets. Many years ago when I was young my mother both owned and managed pet stores and I've lived with rabbits, various lizards, frogs, birds, snakes, rats, and other critters of shapes and sizes. I would even go outside and catch grasshoppers, when we lived in a park, to feed the ones that would eat them.
Then there was a dog, which I can't talk too much of without getting teary eyed, a bird, and quite a few cats throughout the years. The most memorable of the cats were one that was blind in one eye and had 6 toes on one paw and another that was more than 4 feet long and weighted 30 pounds easily.

I also have two cats but, there now in the UK waiting for me, one Dewy we are great friends now, but as a kitten he would have ripped your arm to get back to mum, he and his brother Lewy were both farm cats and very feral, Lewy as a kitten slept around my head, and Dewy he would walk around the room to keep away from me and the wife, but slowly he come round and his way of playing or letting me play with if laid down he would play with my hands behind my head.
When we move to our house here, he used to get a cloudy eye so he had to have eye drops from our vet for him, so I had great fun doing that, but he found out if I got and went to the settee it was a safe place and he got his drops with out no fuss or claws, our Greek vet changed us over to a human eye drop and since then its cleared up.
Sadly Lewy went off one day when we had the brother-in-law his wife and son here, better know as the child from hell, he went off down the grove and not been seen since, the problem round here is fox's and lots of them they cant get in the grove as its fenced all round but Lewy could get out.
And we have one other cat Joey he is the cousin, he as a kitten decided it was best he stayed with us, and he slept at my crutch under the duvet for a couple of weeks, so he was our third cat.
So one day boys we will all be together I hope.

I'm divorced… My sister was my maid of honor so that's obvious… Even though our political differences are extreme.
Oddly enough the best man at our wedding I had dated for a short period of time (I was 16) and he is still a good friend of mine. In fact we are better friends then he is with my ex which was his best friend in high school."A negative mind will never get you a positive life.”

As we had what is in the UK a register office wedding but was not a quickie, planned that way I think my brother-in-law on my sisters side was the best man, but he's now a drunk and me my sister have not spoken since our Father died, she's gone a bit round the twist from stress I think, she did this to herself, so don't here anything from her or her family.
Sad life they lead, she could have been out here every summer for a month at a time, sad very sad.
Still life goes on with a marriage of 46 years.

My brother was my best man. He lives in Maine, but we talk over the phone several times a year. My wife's maid of honor was her gramer school best friend and is still one of her best friends. When her husband was still alive, we would go out to dinner about once a month. Now my wife and her old highschool friends go out about twice a year.

I didn't have anyone I knew at my first wedding. It was three weeks in Mauritius.
We kept in touch with our witnesses for about a year afterwards.
My second wedding, we had my best friend as maid of honour and my niece as bridesmaid. And of course they are both still in my life daily nine years later.
My friend, props.
