Yes and no. Most of the Hondas built in the USA are built, or assembled here. But the profits still go to Japan, where they can spend them there. On the other hand, Honda and Toyota are publicly traded, so if you owned those stocks, you get a piece of that pie.

I had a customer once that had a contract with Clarks shoes to design an electronic foot measuring device and wanted me to manufacture it for him. This piece of kit looked very much like a running machine that you stepped on and sensors underneath your feet measured quickly and accurately the size of your plates of meat. Those of you from the UK may have seen these machines in Clarks shoe shops. I built them!

Anyway, my customer thought he was being smart and saving money by using a Chinese company to manufacture the bare pcb's that were technically challenging as they had what is known as "blind via's" and "buried via's". Not all pcb manufacturers have the capability to do this.

Long story short, the Chinese manufacturer fucked them up, my customer had to source a UK company to have all the pcb's made again, Clarks weren't happy because of delivery delays and broken promises, but I was a happy boy because I got to do them all twice.

The lesson, going abroad to manufacture isn't as simple as it seems, cheap means exactly that, time differences makes it difficult to communicate and get things done in a timely manner, language barriers can be a problem with misinterpreted instructions and you are susceptible to exchange rates unless you have a fixed price contract.

Trump has been taking a lot of heat from the left, the media and European leaders on his travel ban on the the 7 Muslim countries of concern. And yet none of the media has reported that polls show that there are more citizens here that are for it than against it. The main stream media has failed to and will not report this.

Now the European media is also bashing Trump and making it look as though all of Europe is appalled over his TEMPORARY ban. So what do the European citizens think about banning Muslim refuges? The answer might surprise you. The majority are also in favor of it.

Most of those countries are in fact deporting immigrants found in their country. They could easily house a ridiculous amount but view their form of Islam and their culture too different from their own.
