In addition to the BBC, CNN, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times, among others, were not invited to participate in yesterday's press conference because they report "fake news" regarding Trump's staff making contact with the Russians. These alogations have not yet been disproven so why is it considered "fake news?"

I thought that Freedom of the Press was a constitutional right. To my mind, suppressing the press is one of the first steps dictators take when first taking power.

instead of addressing the fake press and arguing over crowd sizes, we should be addressing the factors effecting the future of humanity and life on earth such as air pollution and climate change.

The Mail on Sunday today reveals astonishing evidence that the organisation that is the world’s leading source of climate data rushed to publish a landmark paper that exaggerated global warming and was timed to influence the historic Paris Agreement on climate change.
A high-level whistleblower has told this newspaper that America’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) breached its own rules on scientific integrity when it published the sensational but flawed report, aimed at making the maximum possible impact on world leaders including Barack Obama and David Cameron at the UN climate conference in Paris in 2015.
The report claimed that the ‘pause’ or ‘slowdown’ in global warming in the period since 1998 – revealed by UN scientists in 2013 – never existed, and that world temperatures had been rising faster than scientists expected. Launched by NOAA with a public relations fanfare, it was splashed across the world’s media, and cited repeatedly by politicians and policy makers.
But the whistleblower, Dr John Bates, a top NOAA scientist with an impeccable reputation, has shown The Mail on Sunday irrefutable evidence that the paper was based on misleading, ‘unverified’ data.
It was never subjected to NOAA’s rigorous internal evaluation process – which Dr Bates devised.

My wife works for the Nobel prize winner in physics Ivar Gavier. In 2008 he was on a panel on global warming and was shocked about some of the nonsense the scientific community was pushing on climate change. He has argued that the temperature of the Earth has been very stable and any changes over a few decades here and there are in fact normal cycles of the Earth's climate.

So what did he get out of his opinions on the matter, instead of the Scientific community claiming global warming exists debating him on it, they shunned, ridiculed him and would not even consider listening to what he had to say with and open mind. He was so disgusted with their closed minded my way or the highway attitude that he resigned from the American Physical Society. Their stance was that global warming was incontrovertible. His response was "Incontrovertible is not a scientific word. Nothing is incontrovertible in science."

Yes this is the point as I see it. Even without scientific proof some history helps fuel the fire also (yes I see what I did there). When Europeans started to come here corn was growing very well in areas later to become Arizona, and could not grow in places later to become Indiana. Even without the industrial revolution these dynamics were changing. And have continued to change over the centuries. On top of that the global environment has cyclicly changed as far back as we find evidence.

Those are not strong enough examples to point out changes in global climate.

Oh yes they are. Of course they are. Any example can be used, and ignored. What happens to the earth traditionally when CO2 rises?
