Look anyone who supports Trump will have to get used to the insults for quite a while. That's just how it's going to be until he either gets his agenda across and people start getting happy or he fails in which case there will me more name calling.

As for the name calling, well there isn't a mother that I haven't met that has ever said name calling was good. My own mother used to call it childish behavior. If we don't want to act like adults and discuss points and policy but rather call names to candidates or each other I think it diminishes not just this thread but the person doing it.

So think about how we all want o act. This thread got a lot of replies and much good discussion and ideas. If you want it closed because we can't be adults well say the word or keep talking like children. Up to you.

Ummm ok...I've been gone awhile and I might as well jump in with both feet. This election has actually put a bigger wedge between my sister and I. She thinks Obama was the Mosia and could do no wrong. She believes MSNBC speaks the whole truth and nothing but the truth. She was married 20 years ago and refused to take her husbands name and thinks the women's march actually helped her cause and treats sex as a reward system for her husband when does his chores. She went as far as to make the Obama family her facebook profile. She writes for the AP and taught at a major university.

ME...I believe most presidents are/were just marionettes having strings pulled behind the seen. I believe MSNBC is one of the worst news agencies and CNN is a close second. I voted for Trump not because I think he's a great man that is going to save the world, but because I believe he was the lesser of two evils. I was embarrassed by the women's march and I love sex and men as well as being submissive when it comes to the bedroom. I was a corporate trainer in the automotive industry, owned my own computer repair business and do part time remodeling to help pay the bills (electrical and plumbing my specialty)

This is my family dynamic Can you imagine what Christmas Dinner was like. My point is and I'm sure you all have heard this before...."wanting Trump to fail, is like wanting the plane you are on to crash."

Our country survived 8 years with a Democrat I'm sure we will survive at least 4 with a republican. Besides, we the people are just pawns in this sick game. The media and some very wealthy people own the court and are making up the rules as they go.

Someone after my own heart. Unfortunately, my wife got there first. I have a close friend who had his sister unfriend him on facebook because of his concervative viewpoint. I just think it is a shame that these things drive wedges into families. Healing starts with you and tolerance needs to be found by all. There is a lot of common ground if you just look past all the talking points.

i had a friend who unfriended his parents because they supported trump. he's still my friend, because friends take the good and the bad together. put it all together and come out on the other end with love and understanding for each one being equally stupid in their own way.

Any public figure is open to scrutiny and criticism, that's just the way it is. It's when that scrutiny and criticism is taken too far into the realms of abuse that things get nasty.

The media is an important tool when used properly to inform the masses and hold powerful people accountable for their actions, plus we're all nosy bastards at the end of the day and love a bit of gossip. Beats talking about the weather all the time.

I, for one, hope Trump succeeds and fulfils his promises for a better life for all in America. That can only be good for all of us. Just don't be an island!

Imagine a relationship ending because of the candidate you voted for? How utterly stupid. I have feared through the years as yes this was exacerbated by Obama and the Democrats that the party was more important than the person. Many Democrats that I knew couldn't stand Hillary but they had to vote the party. That, not Trump, is how the Nazi's started.
In case you hadn't noticed Trump really doesn't have a party. Yes he ran as a Republican but a Republican who doesn't like trade deals? A Republican that mentions the LGBT community in his acceptance speech? I don't know many Republicans like that.

Speaking of Facebook... Trump becoming president has been very entertaining, going on Facebook and seeing all of the SJWs having a meltdown daily over things he says. Very funny stuff.

Blun****** may not like the BBC but there still doing interviews with ones who are on his staff on there world news channel, but from other news, I think he could be heading down even more as he is still not liked by the republicans in fact they don't even think he's a republican? and some bits are getting very confusing, and yes the republicans are waiting to see how he is going to fund all the work he wants to do.

But did hear that there will be no tax cuts, for those who are waiting for them, well it could be a long wait.
