There's a fine line between friendly banter and insults as I have no doubt you are aware. If you believe any post crosses this line please report it and it will be dealt with. Public figures are open to close scrutiny and criticism, fellow members are not.

The phrase Libtard has caused so much grief and been a catalyst for abusive arguments between members in the past with political threads that it has been decided by the powers that be not to be tolerated.

Coming from the UK that word doesn't have the same connotations for me here as it does in the US. Same as if I called all Tories dumb wankers it probably wouldn't have much of an affect to or on you. However, we all want to be able to discuss current topics without getting nasty with each other.
