You sillies, the electoral college levels the playing field so everyone participates in the election. Otherwise California ad New York would rule every election. Please think of the wisdom of the founding fathers and how far sighted they were in establishing this country.

The founding fathers thought the populace too stupid and untrustworthy to pick a candidate. Too obtuse to understand the issues facing our country. That isn't wisdom it is eliteism. Nothing has changed in that regard.
As to New York, California, Texas, Florida, and a few others controlling things they already do. Not in the most head buried conversation can it be thought differently. The aging field is not level. Every decision that guides this country is based on those population centers. Even education looks to those areas. We in the horse country are laughed at and are expected to suck hind titty.

My stance is if you make a $1.00 pay the percentage tax. I don't care how you made it. Pay the same as everyone. Cast a vote have the damn thing counted. Quit telling me all the reasons I don't count the same as all the others whoever they are. Where I live, whoever thinks whatever about me and my class of people doesn't mean squat.

It's really rural verses urban. That's the real fight going on at the moment.

That's the same fight historically even back to the founders. Same argument to mollify us hayseeds from the sticks also. Act like us city folks care for our country bumpkin cousins and we can do what we want.

here in oregon, the east and the west sides of the states are so drastically different. the populace lives in the west and ends up ruling the east. there is seriously one stop light in my whole county. and till about 15 years ago it was just a flashing light. i wish we could make more of a difference in our state laws, but it just aint gonna happen. it's the same with the entire country.
