There were tons of pipes on the job site already. Some came from other countries and was already paid for. Wanna just throw away a few million bucks worth of pipe? All new pipe will be American. Why was that not completely reported in the press?

Valid point, Cusp. I guess some of the fake news organizations over looked that point, though USA Today reported it properly. I guess Trump's advisers didn't pick up on it either when he first issued the order.

I think your find Cusp that was ships being sunk in the North Atlantic by U boats was pushing them into the war with Germany, and as it went on England kept telling you government the it needed to turn off all the lighting along the coast as it was silhouetting your ships and making them easy targets, I think your find that we was told to keep our noses out of it, and it become a happy hunting ground for U boats.
