True enough, but let's not forget the U.S.A was fighting a war in all hémisphères, the logistics of this are mind boggling even today. And I would say the Pacific war was far more difficult to win than Europe. Both because Europe was a ground war mostly and the Pacific a sea war. Also the Pacific war was won mostly by Americans, with Australia's help, the USSR didn't commit troops till near the end of the war. Now matter how y'a spin it, WW II was a nasty piece of human history.

On on a personal note. I've mentioned this before. My wife's father was to have been part of the D day Normandy invasion. Luckily, the General decided to drive the jeep that night right off a cliff. My future father in law had a destroyed ankle and sent home. 22 years later, my wife was born, fate.

I think it is time for Trump to cut back on his animosity towards Obama. He has a right to disagree with the former president's actions; however, his off the wall hostility is only working to further divide the country. All the previous presidents in modern times have worked with their predecessors to garner advice, to help bring the country back together, and using them for diplomatic assistance (visit nations ravaged by natural disasters and represent the President at funerals for heads of state, etc.)

Personally I don't think Trump should involve any former presidents. He came out very strongly against Executive Branch ex's doing any lobbying. He should stick with that.
He should also drop the silly unfounded allegations against Obama. Just because some radical TV host proclaims something it doesn't make it true. False news is one of his favorite statements and he needs to understand it is the same for both conservative news outlets and liberal news outlets.
