  • What is your favorite Metallica Album and song, doesn't have to be on the same album

I went to see Metallica in Kansas City in 2008 on the Death Magnetic tour. The show was mind blowing and nothing has ever, ever compared to it.

They are the one of the most dynamic and chest bumping bands of all time.

Favorite Album..St. Anger. It's kind of crazy because it's not their most popular, but Bob Rock took them back to their roots and created a masterpiece. I love every single album, but Anger just takes it to a new level.

Favorite Song..Nothing Else Matters..Simple and powerful lyrics..Never opened myself this way, life is ours we live our way...It gives me chills every time I hear it.

    Rock on..James,Lars,Kirk, and Rob.

Well, that's a good start, but just the tip of the iceberg!

My older brother was (and is) huge into Metallica. He'll even see them two or three shows in a row if the cities are close enough together.

Back in the days of vinyl and cassettes he would bought all the albums and taped them. He is also an audiophile, so in our little Chevy Chevette he had a kick ass sound system. I was force fed Kill 'Em All, Ride the lightning, Master of Puppets, And Justice for All and Garage Days Revisited. Over and over again. Every commute back and forth to college. 2 hours. Each way. Over and over again.

I think And Justice for All is their best album, but I like Fade to Black off Ride the Lightning.

As I was intimately familiar with the earlier work, I thought the The Black Album was too commercial, and then Load and Reload really were just loads of...
The S&M album was alright, and I really got a kick out of a bootleg of The Imperial March.

Now, many years later, I will actually listen to St. Anger with being forced. Anything after that is off my radar.

How about this. Had this on a SONY Walkman and would play it right before I came in as a relief pitcher. For a couple of years actually.
