Last post is Kim Anami on youtube .
Don't really know that much about her and she is a bit Taoist/yoga/tantra for me . But for all that I like what I have seen and will have to see more . Certainly has Ian Kerner beat she actually thinks dicks have worth and wants women(and men) not to accept blah sex lives

Today, I listened to a couple of episodes of "Speaking of Sex with the Pleasure Mechanics". The Pleasure mechanics are Chris and Charlotte, a female couple. I found their style straight forward and mature while still fun. So far, I have not encountered any podcasts involving a guest so the conversation is limited to their own experiences and expertise. However, I found the general lack of giggling silliness to be refreshing.
As they are a female couple, everything is from the female perspective but I am okay with that as that is usually what I am seeking.
Check them out.Last edited by Pirate; 05-15-2017 at 04:31 PM.

I have listened to a few more episodes and these did include guests. The interviews were very professional although the sound mixing can be a bit off, by that I mean sometimes the guest is much louder than the interviewer. So far, this is the best series that I have come across.
These podcasts are free and they offer free mini-courses but make a living selling courses. This is fine except that sometimes an episode can feel a bit like an infomercial, but only a bit.

I am listening to "Sex Out Loud with Tristan Taormino". This episode is from 7/24/15 and is entitled "Dr. Debby Herbenick on Exercise, Arousal, and the Coregasm Workout."
I am about half way through it and, so far, I am pretty impressed. The production quality is very good. The interview is professional and the material is interesting and well presented.
I expect that I will listen to more in the series.

Some more thoughts about "Speaking of Sex with the Pleasure Mechanics":
They do stray into politics at times and their bias on political and social issues can be quite distracting if you do not buy into their agenda.
For example, I am listening to their podcast on gender identity. This is a subject that I find very interesting and, while being firmly heterosexual male, I am also firmly Libertarian, and support unconstrained individual rights unless there is a compelling reason to constrain those rights. At various times through out this episode, the hostesses criticize others for making generalizations and then follow up with statements like "transgender people never commit violent crimes" and "people get hysterical about transgender restrooms because it threatens the patriarchal, misogynistic, power structure" without any supporting citations or data. Such blatant hypocrisy and socio-political bigotry is distracting and undermines their credibility.
I am disappointed.Pirate Diplomacy:

Hmm keep up the good work Pirate .
Yes I know what you mean I do try to overlook peoples political leanings but it can be a big distraction.

Thanks Peg,
We all have political leanings and thoughts and I certainly enjoy a reasoned conversation. However, I do find name calling, histrionics, intellectual intolerance, and unsubstantiated allegations presented as facts, to be unprofessional, especially in some one claiming to be an educator, and distracting in the extreme.
Sigh.

We have a radio shock jock that gives new meaning to histrionics . By the end of his rant against a local pool center putting aide 1 pool for 2 hrs a week for women only I thought western civilisation had fallen .
Does America have a tradition of reasoned discourse on politics ?

I just listened to their podcast entitled "Sex and Social Justice with Aida Manduley" and my disappointment deepens. The description for this episode opens with this:
"Sex and pleasure matter far beyond your bedroom. Sexuality is part of your social body, how you interact with and are treated by the world. Sexuality is deeply interconnected with race and class - so when we call for more sexual pleasure we must recognize that call is ultimately for social justice for all."
Ummmm....Eh?
If you read that paragraph and thought to yourself "Hm. Well, that makes perfect sense", you may well get something out of the podcast. I did not and I was really hoping that she would explain what in the hell she is talking about.
That summary does give you a pretty fair idea as to what the interview with Ms. Manduley, is like. Ms. Manduley is a self described "fierce warrior for social justice". Her day job, however, is as some sort of therapist. (Personally, I prefer therapists to be un-fierce.)
Anyway, she advises that when you feel oppressed in the "Era of Trump" you should be kind to yourself. I think that you should be kind to yourself in whatever era you find yourself.
A few things of the things that are casually taken as self-evident:
-There is an "intersectionality" of race, class, and sex that leads to "oppression."
-The election of Trump ushered in an era of oppression.
-National politics directly impacts your sex life in undisclosed but, apparently obvious, ways.
-Having sex is a way of showing your support for the Trump Resistance.
And on and on and on.
I get that she is upset that the election did not turn out as she had hoped and expected, but do people really let national politics interfere with getting laid? For me, neither Trump, nor Obama, nor Bush, nor Reagan has ever come up when I am getting down. (See what I did there?)
Okay, I confess that I have invoked Bill Clinton on occasion when in the mood for a bit of oral attention, but his legacy is sort of a special case, methinks.
In short, any mention of sex, in the podcast, is purely incidental to the political ranting (Trump is mentioned far more times than sex is) that I learned nothing of a sex or relationship nature and even the political rhetoric is so disorganized that I failed to gain any insight into that either.
It did remind me of a cartoon that I saw in a Playboy Magazine @ 1970 (yes, I am that old). It showed a sly looking young man busy taking off the bra of a buxom and confused looking blonde. The caption read "Tell me again how this will help end the war in Vietnam."
I was tempted to unsubscribe to this series but decided not to. Instead, I will simply delete any that read like political manifestos. Life is too short.
Currently, I am subscribed to:
Sex Out Loud with Tristan Taormino
Death, Sex, and Money
Speaking of Sex with the Pleasure Mechanics
Sex with Emily
Sex Nerd Sandra (though this one is so far down my list that I have not gotten around to an episode in weeks.)
I am curious about "Kinsey Institute Presents" but for reasons unknown the episodes will not down load for me.
