Idk if anyone here cares... At all.. But here I go..
Consumed by worry tonight. Specifically worried about my heart. It hasn't been this bad in a long time. Started reading online about all kinds of heart defects and shit and now I'm messed up. Worry I was born with a heart defect that no one has discovered. When I was a freshman in high school I got a physical and the Dr listened to my heart and started asking me questions about heart problems in my family. He seemed worried and said something about a heart murmur.
I went and got an echocardiogram and they said everything looked perfect. Well that was 12 years ago and I'm now 28. I've had multiple Dr's listen to my heart and they say it sounds perfect and they hear no murmur. I've also had a few ekgs and they were perfect too. However I can't stop thinking back wondering what that Dr heard. I just read that kids can out grow murmurs because the chest wall thickens and then they simply just can't be heard anymore. So I could still have that sound but it simply can't be heard by Dr's now because I'm bigger? How reassuring...
I really have no symptoms of a heart problem I guess however I have a hard time exercising(trying to start again) because I worry my hearts going too fast or that I'll just drop dead. Some stats: resting heart rate 47-53 / 5'11 160 lbs. The low resting heart rate worried me too. I've taken my blood pressure when it was that low and it was always around 115/75 ish. If I had insurance I'd go get another echocardiogram but honestly I'd be so nervous they'd find some defect. Idk what to do.
