Longer when pointing down

Whenever i measure myself, I go from 5.5 to 6 when i point my hard one downwards. why? Pointing it downwards always seems to make myself longer.

It could just be that when you measure you aren't fully hard sometimes or your pressing into your pubic fat pad slightly.
