Gold is already valuable. It's more like everything Trump touches turns to a government bond... A good decision now that will be more valuable down the line.

To totally satisfy a woman sexually is not about having a large penis, it's about being a good lover.

Alright, you asked for it. ZZ, you have only this person to blame.

              • Passage of the tax reform bill providing $5.5 billion in cuts and repealing the Obamacare mandate.
Increasing premiums in the process, (by the way that's a "right" source with their source coming from the CBO, the Congressional Budget Office, so it's not media, but instead the government saying it) and also going against his promise of repealing ACA entirely. Why is increasing premiums a good thing again? Also, wasn't he supposed to make his own health care. From what I remember Trump said it would be cheaper, affect more people, and you could keep your doctor. How come that hasn't happened yet?
              • Increase of the GDP above 3 percent.
Trump hasn't had a GDP that good yet. It was 2.3% his first year. He wanted, and still wants, 6%. So not only did he fall short of good he also fell far short of what he wanted.

              • Creation of 1.7 million new jobs, cutting unemployment to 4.1 percent
This is true. He definitely did that. A shame wages are still lagging behind big time.

              • Saw the Dow Jones reach record highs.
He also owns many vast drops of the Dow as well. Since January, when it officially became Trump's economy, it dipped as low as 3,000 points from its highest and seen many drops as well. The highest being 26,000+ and went as low as 23,000 and currently sitting at 24,700. I thought you are all about the "other side", seems odd to not include his failings. In addition the Dow was going up for years long before Trump. Each president's economy goes for a year after they leave office. Take that for what you will.

              • A rebound in economic confidence to a 17-year high.
This is true, but only if you're a CEO, executive, or general m(b)illionaire.

              • A new executive order to boost apprenticeships.
You forgot to mention that he is cutting back safety regulations to help do this, which could do more harm than good. This is a good thing to do, apprenticeships are a great way to get a job (I regret not doing it) but regulations are there for a reason, I guess we'll find out if it does good or not.

              • A move to boost computer sciences in Education Department programs.
This is a good thing, and it is indeed happening. Unfortunately schools are being underfunded and there's a reason he needed to do this. If schools were not being underfunded then that there would have been more than 40% of schools offering computer science courses. To me this is like putting a band-aid on a broken leg.

See, Trump can do good, but he doesn't do well enough.

              • Prioritizing women-owned businesses for some $500 million in SBA loans.
I can't find a thing on this. You'll need to provide a source to discuss it.

              • Signed an Executive Order demanding that two regulations be killed for every new one creates. He beat that big and cut 16 rules and regulations for every one created, saving $8.1 billion.

              • Signed 15 congressional regulatory cuts.
Those are not necessarily a good thing. Regulations are created for a reason, and it's not to harm the business but to protect employees and consumers. He cut an oil safety regulation, which was created after the Deepwater Horizon disaster, which killed 11 people. It seems weird to not want to protect employees. I thought Trump was about helping the middle class. This doesn't help the employees, and in fact could kill more people by removing it.

              • Withdrew from the Obama-era Paris Climate Agreement, ending the threat of environmental regulations.
That's not what any of that was about. In fact no country had to do a thing the Paris Agreement said. You made up your own rules and hopefully you would stick to them. There was no monetary promise, nor anything else. It was a way for the world to come together and solve environmental issues plaguing the world, not to hurt American businesses. Hell, China right now is beating us in all of that. America is the only one not in the Agreement, and that's not a good thing.

              • Signed an Executive Order cutting the time for infrastructure permit approvals.
This is a good thing and it has happened, but less time approving might mean some things go unnoticed and problems may arise. In that same vein Trump hasn't done anything about the countries infrastructure, which was one of his campaign promises. Shortly after the tax cuts he wanted to get moving on infrastructure, but then some stuff happened, and he wanted to spend another $1+ trillion right after spending $1.5 trillion on tax cuts. Honestly that money for the tax cuts probably should have gone to infrastructure.

              • Eliminated an Obama rule on streams that Trump felt unfairly targeted the coal industry.
Why exactly is allowing the coal industry to dump toxic materials into streams a good thing?Seems weird to be okay with polluted waters.

In addition this hasn't saved jobs by removing it. The coal industry is going to die no matter what. It becomes less efficient over timewith other energy sources becoming cheaper and more efficient, not to mention the health problems with the workers.Seems like the way to save the coal miners is to allow them to retrain in other industries, but few miners actually want that. They want to continue working in a dying industry. You can't save it, just like with cigarettes, steam boat/train, or horse drawn buggies. Industries die and better things replace them.We need to help the miners in other ways, not trying to save not a poor energy source and a dying industry.
              • Made good on his campaign promise to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Again, not necessarily a good thing, especially with him removing environmentally friendly regulations and reducing the budget of the EPA. Plus putting Pruitt at the head of it, and we all know how corrupt he is.
              • Opened up the North American Free Trade Agreement for talks to better the deal for the U.S.
A better deal is always nice, but a new deal still hasn't been completed. It was initially supposed to end back in the end of 2017, but now an agreement may not happen until 2019, if that. In addition if Mexico doesn't get what it wants it could go to the Pacific Alliance. Currently not much is known about the progress on it and if Trump is succeeding in this area. Only way to know for certain is to see how it ends, but I have no hope for a man that couldn't even make more money than interest would back in the 90's.
              • Worked to bring companies back to the U.S., and companies like Toyota, Mazda, Broadcom Limited, and Foxconn announced plans to open U.S. plants.
That he did, but at the same time those companies also let employees go. Unfortunately to say it was because of Trump only isn't 100% true. Ford is increasing investment into its U.S. companies, but its CEO said it was doing that anyways. GM said it was a long term trend. Lockheed and Martin was because it has a government contract and already had increased production. Toyota was already going to do it before Trump was pushing for it. Chrysler isn't coming back from Mexico, although Trump said otherwise. The Broadcom move does seem like it's happening, but Trump did tank a deal of their's, so we'll see. Foxconn does indeed seem real, but it has a history of not living up to job creation it has promised, so I don't know if that's a good thing we are bringing a company that can't do its part of the bargain.
              • Worked to promote the sale of U.S products abroad.
He has certainly tried this, but you must remember most of Trump's products are not made in America. Then you also have that he wants to use foreign steel for America's infrastructure plan he has been toting and Keystone pipeline uses foreign steel. Of course the steel/aluminum tariffs will actually make U.S. products more expensive (like soup for example).
              • Ended Obama’s deal with Cuba.
Not completely. It still allows much of what Obama's deal was.

              • The Department of Interior, which has led the way in cutting regulations, opened plans to lease 77 million acres in the Gulf of Mexico for oil and gas drilling.
While at the same time cutting safety regulations, which could come back to bite him.

              • Trump traveled the world to promote the sale and use of U.S. energy.
Not sure how country to country salesmen is a "victory". The victory is if he got them to buy it.

              • Expanded energy infrastructure projects like the Keystone XL Pipeline snubbed by Obama.
Using foreign steel, going against his "America First" policy, and the Keystone pipeline has leaked twice, with one of the largest leaks in U.S. history in South Dakota. Sometimes there are reasons to snub something. If the primary pipeline is leaking like mad then the extension might not be a good thing.

              • Ordered the Environmental Protection Agency to kill Obama’s Clean Power Plan.
Why is removing the first real plan the U.S. had for combating carbon pollution a good thing? You seem to be against improving the environment, why is that? The plan was projected to save $20 billion in climate related costs and $14 to $34 billion in health costs. So killing it means we're spending more money, I thought saving money was awesome?

              • EPA is reconsidering Obama rules on methane emissions.
That's beause Pruitt is involved and he is one of the most corrupt pieces of shit around.Currently that rule wants to lessen methan emissions. Isn't that a good thing? Not to mention they are for landfills. Are we really worrying about protecting landfills?
              • Made progress to build the border wall with Mexico.
What progress was that? So far only prototypes have been made, but that's it. Mexico isn't paying for it, like he said would happen, and the cost of it isn't even known yet. I made a post about this before, which you ignored, going about the costs just on concrete, if that is what is used. The costs are astronomical and Trump is going to have to find a way to pay for it, because it's easily going to be $100 billion at its cheapest.

              • Boosted the arrests of illegals inside the U.S.

              • Doubled the number of counties participating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement charged with deporting illegals.

              • Removed 36 percent more criminal gang members than in fiscal 2016.

              • Started the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival program.

              • Ditto for other amnesty programs like Deferred Action for Parents of Americans.

              • Cracking down on some 300 sanctuary cities that defy ICE but still get federal dollars.

              • Added some 100 new immigration judges.
Now making sure illegal immigration is curbed is a good thing, but ICE isn't always acting correctly. Recently there was a case where ICE was claiming a man had ties to gang related activity, but they in fact lied. An agency lying to remove people, who are here legally, isn't something we want. We don't need ICE getting too gung ho about what they are doing.

              • Justice announced grants of $98 million to fund 802 new cops.

              • Justice worked with Central American nations to arrest and charge 4,000 MS-13 members.

              • Homeland rounded up nearly 800 MS-13 members, an 83 percent one-year increase.

              • Attorney General Jeff Sessions created new National Public Safety Partnership, a cooperative initiative with cities to reduce violent crimes.
None of these Trump had a hand in though. In fact it sounds like victories that happened while Trump is president. That's not the same as a Trump victory. Those are always good things, but it doesn't mean Trump had a hand in doing any of it.

              • Trump has nominated 73 federal judges and won his nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.
A Supreme Court nomination isn't a victory. It just so happened that this took place while he was president, which Republicans made sure to happen. Trying to make sure you pick a guy that supports what you want in the Supreme Court sounds like a dickish move. We should want more neutral Justices rather than one that supports any one side. Nominating judges should never be a victory, for any president.

              • Ordered ethical standards including a lobbying ban.
Which hasn't been enforced yet. The ban is a good idea, but until anything happens it's nothing but a fart in the wind. Again, this is another good thing, but Trump hasn't done right, so it's not victory yet.

              • Called for a comprehensive plan to reorganize the executive branch.
Carter, Clinton, and Obama did that same thing. So really you are praising all of them at the same time. It hasn't happened yet and I'm sure it won't with Trump either.
              • Ordered an overhaul to modernize the digital government.
This is always a good thing.
              • Called for a full audit of the Pentagon and its spending.
This is a good thing. It will cost $367 million though, and an additional $551 million. Not saying the cost is a reason not to do it, just giving info.

              • First, the president declared a Nationwide Public Health Emergency on opioids.
Calling it what it is isn't an accomplishment. That would be like calling a pot hole a problem and people congratulating you.
              • His Council of Economic Advisors played a role in determining that overdoses are underreported by as much as 24 percent.

              • The Department of Health and Human Services laid out a new five-point strategy to fight the crisis.

              • Justice announced it was scheduling fentanyl substances as a drug class under the Controlled Substances Act.

              • Justice started a fraud crackdown, arresting more than 400.

              • The administration added $500 million to fight the crisis.

              • On National Drug Take Back Day, the Drug Enforcement Agency collected 456 tons.
All of these are good things. The opioid crisis is a problem.

              • In his first week, Trump reinstated and expanded the Mexico City Policy that blocks some $9 billion in foreign aid being used for abortions.

              • Worked with Congress on a bill overturning an Obama regulation that blocked states from defunding abortion providers.

              • Published guidance to block Obamacare money from supporting abortion.
You're going to have to explain why any of this is a good thing? It's getting harder to perform abortions for people that really need it, to save their own life or because of rape as examples. Abortions are not necessarily a bad thing and making it harder to get one isn't a good thing either.

              • Signed the Veterans Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act to allow senior officials in the Department of Veterans Affairs to fire failing employees and establish safeguards to protect whistleblowers.
This is a great thing, but ironic he wants to protect whistleblowers here, but when someone does that to him he calls for them to be in jail.
              • Signed the Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act.

              • Signed the Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act, to provide support.

              • Signed the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act of 2017 to authorize $2.1 billion in additional funds for the Veterans Choice Program.

              • Created a VA hotline.

              • Had the VA launch an online “Access and Quality Tool,” providing veterans with a way to access wait time and quality of care data.

              • With VA Secretary Dr. David Shulkin, announced three initiatives to expand access to healthcare for veterans using telehealth technology.
All of this is a good thing, but it will take a lot of work. Putting stuff into place to improve the VA is just the first step, now Trump, and future presidents, have to make sure the VA stays on the correct course and doesn't turn to shit.

              • Worked to increase defense spending.
This isn't always a good thing. Trump ran on reducing spending and increasing it only goes against one of his policies in the first place.

              • Empowered military leaders to “seize the initiative and win,” reducing the need for a White House sign off on every mission.
This can be good, but may have repercussions.

              • Directed the revival of the National Space Council to develop space war strategies.
A little too early to be thinking of such a thing, but I guess it has to start somewhere.

              • Imposed a travel ban on nations that lack border and anti-terrorism security.
You forgot to mention that his bans target specific nations that also haven't had terrorism linked to U.S. attacks and ones that have Trump businesses in them.
              • Saw ISIS lose virtually all of its territory.
But not defeated, nor under 100 days like he proclaimed on the campaign trail.
              • Pushed for strong action against global outlaw North Korea and its development of nuclear weapons.
This didn't seem to be working until NK fucked its testing facilities up.
              • Announced a new Afghanistan strategy that strengthens support for U.S. forces at war with terrorism.
This just seems obvious, like to the point of anyone doing this. Any president would do this.

              • Made good on a campaign promise to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
This hasn't been turning out well as of late, what with the border killings. This isn't really victory so far as it hasn't panned out well. It may be a campaign promise, but that doesn't mean it's actually having a positive effect. There might be a reason why no other president did this before.
              • Conducted a historic 12-day trip through Asia, winning new cooperative deals. On the trip, he attended three regional summits to promote American interests.
Those deals would be? Going to need more here to discuss it.
              • He traveled to the Middle East and Europe to build new relationships with leaders.
              Like every other president has?
              • Traveled to Poland and on to Germany for the G-20 meeting where he pushed again for funding of women entrepreneurs.
Yay, I guess. Nothing was actually done though, he just pushed for it. Pushing for something isn't an accomplishment.

In the end you forgot to mention all of his failings. I guess you're not looking at "both sides". Looking only at ones successes is a quick way to ignore faults and ways to improve. If a success is a success you don't need to brag about it. Finding what is awful about something is far more important and prudent.

Trump truly is a godsend. A good thing Jesus chose him to run our country.

Hey Donny, this is the first pro-Trump thread yet, everything else has been negative. Who is not looking at both sides of the story, me? or maybe it is you? But thanks for expending a whole bunch of useless energy trying to bring negatives in accomplishments. You seem to be good at that lately.

Why when it comes to politics you all always talk about what you presume is happening to everyone. The only real truth I know is how my life has been affected and my life has improved greatly since Trump has been president. My insurance premiums have gone down, there are less homeless people walking the streets and begging for jobs and money, there is more money in my paycheck every month and my investments are finally earning money instead of losing it. When Obama was president my insurance premiums literally quadrupled for less coverage. My paycheck shrunk and investments lost money. I have to say, I also feel safer on the world front as I feel that the terrorists, although they still exist, have been put at bay.

These are all personal truths that are supported by personal paperwork and are undeniable.

So you didn't read any of it, no criticism on any of my sources nor rebuttals on any point I made, and I'm the one at fault. It's like I saw into the future.

Hey, remember that point of "you don't want a discussion" that I made? Then you made no attempt at discussing? See, Cavelier, that's what I was talking about. No attempt at any real debate or discussion, just blame.

Don, we each believe what we believe and that is what makes this country so great. Your posts however, are so long, so complex, and so detailed that I challenge any man to have a coherent debate with you. If you want to narrow down your beef to one or two talking points, it would be easier to have a conversation. I have not commented on your responses because there is too much to discuss. Take a few of your favorite points and lets discuss. Could be fun.

My life has changed marginally down. My social security increase was more than offset by the increase in Medicare premium and my, and although my private health insurance premiums declined slightly, my copays increased significantly.

What bothers me recently about Trump is that in the past few years ZTE, a Chinese electronics company that, among other things, makes cheap smartphones, has gotten into repeated trouble with the U.S. government. Many of its products contain U.S. technology — technology that, by law, must not be exported to embargoed nations, including North Korea and Iran. But ZTE was circumventing the ban.

And two weeks ago the Pentagon banned sales of ZTE phones on military bases, following warnings from intelligence agencies that the Chinese government may be using the company’s products to conduct espionage.
All of which made it very strange indeed to see Trump suddenly declare that he was working with President Xi of China to help save ZTE — “Too many jobs in China lost” — and that he was ordering the Commerce Department to make it happen.

I would not consider increasing jobs in China a positive accomplishment.

My investments, and as a result my lifestyle have improved. The undoing of Obama care was worth any inconvenience.
I still want Hillary thrown in jail.

I don't understand why people are against Obama care? Please explain?

Surely to provide healthcare to the poor in a rich country shouldn't be an issue?
