how do u branch out and meet people?

its an odd question but, im 20 years old and just suffered a hard breakup, and realized i dont really know anyone in the area, im not in highschool anymore and i work fulltime i could have met people at work but everyone i work with is 50+ i resently moved to this area so i know like nobody but my ex and my best friend,

best friend just had a kid so im kinda just stuck. how can i meet people, its odd ive always been popular but i moved and its like bam... i know nobody wtf if i was 21 i could go to bars, but for the next 8 months id like to not just sit...

college wasnt for me, so no luck there

its mind boggling, i feel cut off from my generation because im not in college.

It's not a bad idea to have friends of various ages.

Beyond that, find something you like to do in the area, chances are there will be other people a little closer to your age. Walk around, chatter, voila, acquaintances that could become friends. Maybe even start looking for new hobbies, if you are worried about boredom?

Want to meet nice people? Find some local charity work

Want to meet some geeky people? Local comic book shop, lots of them host table top games.

Want to meet some douchebags? Find a beer pong league.

The list goes on, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Junior college, or any other school that does a dance/salsa class. It's a skill that will last a life time, and the people there are a lot like you, they just want to meet people and have something to do

lol i lived for 2months in miami with a fake ID and no1 even questioned it so maybe you could try that or maybe apply to work in a bar just on weekends , even as a barback (if your smaller) or if your bigger as security and its hard not meeting people working in a club
