Yeah, I don't want to re-open a can of worms, but it seems to me like we are all about being PC and giving freedom of speech to the rest of the world to bash us as they please, but when one of our own objects his (or her) freedom of speech is denied. Maybe things could be said a little more tactfully but sometimes they just need to be said. I just like a guy who will stand the fuck up and be counted and can be counted on. I'm an ex-US Army officer, I love America and I refuse to apologize for it.

I understand the difference between freedom of speech and the necessity to close a thread to maintain decorum.

The US economy is hurting right now. Americans are hurting. Yet we continue to give 400 billion.... count 'em, that's 400 billion dollars a year to nearly every country on earth (I think there are about 170 countries on the planet and we give aid to about 150 of them). And for this we are called disparaging names like "bully." Visit the American cemeteries overseas, especially France, where hundreds of thousands of young American bullies spent their last minutes on earth. Just visit them on line. That should provide a little perspective.... American Cemeteries in France - ABMC | Embassy of the United States Paris, France

Thanks for listening. I'll get off of my soapbox now.

I agree that many have given their lives, I have served in the Navy and I believe in freedom of speech. Mr. Curly went on a tirade attacking others in an open forum, he used freedom of speech to conduct himself as a very poor example of an American. MR. Curly will be spending some time on the sidelines and I would suggest that those who feel as if he had the right to say the things he did should learn to use tact. It is one thing to respectfully engage in a debate but it is clearly another when one resorts to insults and name calling.
The way that Mr. Curly conducted himself will not be tolerated in these forums so if anyone wants to follow his lead I can assure that they will be escorted to the exit door without hesitation.

I understand. The use of this forum is a privilege and not a right, which is why I tried to use the most tactful language possible to make my point and why I said I understand the necessity to close certain discussions to maintain decorum.

I have spoken my mind. This is my last post in this thread.

This is really awkward for all of us "foreigners" who like America. To be honest, I haven`t seen anyone being hatefull towards the US, or any other country on here, before this all started yesterday. I`m not saying it hasn`t happened, after all, there are idiots from every country in the world. Assholes come in all forms, colors and nationalities

Me too TJT. I was unaware of any anti-american comments as well. I was very surprized how that thread materialized and was even more surprized that you were the unfortunate catalist for that tirade. To be honest, I felt a little sorry for you as it was very obvious you didn't have any malicous intent with your comments.

I find this all very awkward because I am both American and 'Foreign'...I vote for both a president and a prime minister
To see country pride divide people is shameful and a load of crap.
Also I am an individual so don't say "We" when you mean "I" when referring to your pride, your views and the country you associate yourself to.

Some spineless & moronic 30 year old who has as much clue about other nations as George Dubya Bush did? God Bless Americans.

Send Mr Curly to the streets of Fallujah or Baghdad where he can fight for his country, wading in the blood of Iraqi civilians so you can have your "Freedom Fries". 112,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed by US troops. Only 3000 were killed by the CIA in the 9/11 orchestration.

We dont need to start an argument over speculation and conspiracy theories. We are not all like Mr. Curly here. Most of us respect people from all around the world. Unfortunately it is the acts of the few that seem to form an opinion of the many. We are here to help each other and this needs to end here.
