                her action caused the inadvertent death of another person. that is pretty much the textbook definition of manslaughter.

                          Eh, as a law student with a criminal law exam on Thursday, I'm not so sure it is. But I could be wrong, I do still have a bit of studying to do.

                          Depraved indifference to human life or wanton/willful disregard is grounds for second degree murder. But this is the NY statute. Either way, what she did is not willful disregard for human life, lol.

                          NJ statute may be different. In fact, I'm sure it is or the DA would not have charged her with it.
