Had Hobo banquet for dinner last night!
Ingredient amounts are pretty much to your taste preference.
Brown in pan or large pot. It is HIGHLY recommended to use non-stick!
1 pkg Ore Ida Potatoes O'Brien
yellow onion
Portabella (preferred) Mushrooms, sliced
mix in large bowl, or pot if it is big enough:
cubed fresh tomato, drained
Yellow Pepper
Orange Pepper
Red and Green pepper and onion come in O'brien pkg. We like to add more.
Line bake pan with foil.
spread thin layer of mix flat across bottom of pan
cover mix of shredded cojack and cheddar.
Repeat until all mix is in pan.
Cover and bake for 25 minutes at 325 degrees (F)
Enjoy!
I have mixed in scrambled eggs when eating. Yum!Start: 9/2012 6.5x4.5

Heck. Just plain peanut butter on toast is a great morning start!
Ok, this is going to sound crazy. Here is an awesome use of peanut butter. Sounds disgusting, but I love it.
Where I got. Once upon a time on the Vicki Lawrence show, for those who know who that is and remember the show, Betty White was on. She said every time a friend comes over, they ask for one of "those" sandwiches. So:
Anyone that has seen "Mama's Family". Vicki Lawrence is Mama.
You need two pieces of toast
1 slice of bologna
couple leafs of lettuce
Peanut butter.
Lightly fry the bologna in a pan browning it ever so slightly.
Spread Peanut butter on 1 piece of toast
add bologna, lettuce and other piece of toast.
Slice in half and eat.
Seriously, I agree it SOUNDS disgusting but, honestly it is delicious!Start: 9/2012 6.5x4.5

So I made zucchini sliders this past week because I was inspired by this post (never would have thought to do it otherwise). They were really good! Even my 2 year old LOVED them (not easy). Basically I used the above but I added an onion, used bread crumbs, one egg per zucchini (I used 3), salt and pepper, and used a tip I found elsewhere which was squeeze the water out of the shredded zucchini before using it...and it's a LOT of water. In short, I recommend this wholeheartedly, simple and quite good
Now, I'm at a loss for what to cook. As usual, my wife and I have no ideas really. Any new recipe ideas to share?Just a regular dick on a forum all about guys.

Home made biscuits and gravy:
Brown 8oz of breakfast sausage (breaking into the desired size)
Remove the meat from the oil and set aside
Sprinkle flour into the grease, stirring and adding flour until all the grease is absorbed by the flour
Slowly stir heavy cream to the flour until it reaches the desired consistency.
Return sausage to gravy
Home made biscuits :
Take a large bowl of flour
Take a handful of crisco grease (about 1/4 cup)
Roll the grease in the flour until it forms a tight ball of greasy flour
Repeat until you have enough biscuits
Bake at 350℉ until golden.
Combine biscuits and gravy and enjoy until your heart stops beating.Last edited by namsokiek; 02-24-2014 at 05:40 AM. Reason: To keep CUSP82 from chewing me a new @$$

Come on kids! We in the northest part of these great United States have been snowed in for a long time. Well it's 50 degrees today, most of the snow is gone, and I'm getting my barbeque ready for some chickens that were killed. Trust me these chickens will not have died in vain. I hand rubbed them down yesterday with some spices ( yes I did it before my pe exercises and I did wash my hands, I think), coals will be going soon, and the chickens will do wahat chickens do best; they will barbeque. So since I'm in a good moood get some of your recipes over here and let's start eating. Amddon't pit your recipes ona "a place to rant" thread; they belong with the food! ( and they yell at me for always being off topic)

My favorite recipe for white fish fillets ie. mahi, snapper, snook, etc. Marinate fillets for at least two hours in Wishbone Zesty Italian dressing. Then cook on the grill. be careful never to over cook fish it gets rubbery easily and is much better under cooked.
I also want to try this one it looks pretty damn good
