A heart without thankfulness is like a night without the stars; cold and barren!

I'm thankful that I was born in North America and not some where ravaged by civil war or where my rights as a human being would be nonexistent or unstable. I'm grateful me and my family are safe, warm, fed, and together. Thank you.

Maybe here in North America. But I know a handful of mothers who were not happy to have daughters. They were all friends with my mother and when they came to our house they would start ranting about how they wish they had a son instead of a daughter, that's not love..

I'm thankful that I did not have to live in pretty bad living conditions for very long because my parents were very hard working and they came from very poor and rural backgrounds.
I'm thankful that I get electricity, running and CLEAN water, and heating system and more food than I need.
I'm thankful for having more clothes than I need (I had EXACTLY 3 pants, 3 T shirts, and 2 shirts for years lol yeah embarrassing)
I'm thankful that I was in a school where a lot of kids hated me and beat me up at times, this made me tough and grow balls.
I'm thankful I was lucky enough to make it through and survive with a few minor scratches.
I'm thankful for countless things people I personally know weren't lucky enough to have.
I'm thankful that this thread exists so I could reflect on my life and be thankful for many things others were too unfortunate to have.
I'm thankful that this year I got hit hard with serious things one after another, this allowed me to finally change, this taught me things I never wanted to learn..
Finally, I'm thankful to be alive, everyday above ground is a good day.Last edited by Vulture; 11-27-2013 at 12:44 AM.
