I have started turning into a gym rat. and I am loving the results. I have already added 6lbs of muscle since May of 2014. I am constantly changing my lifting routine to avoid the plateau, but I was wondering what is your favorite post-workout/protein shake and why?!

If you are gaining muscle like that then just eat food and don't worry about protein powder. Post work out I go carbs BTW.

Just find an isolated whey or hydro whey. There isn't a huge difference in what brand. I like allmax, O.N, dymatize

I'm currently using a whey isolate, but I don't like it. It's giving results, but it also messes with my digestion too much. I'm going to be switching back to hemp protein after this. It's lower grams per serving, but it actually leaves my body feeling good.

Get a Hydrostatic Test.
The only reliable stats for Body Fat, Muscle Mass and Bone Density.
$20 - 25 at your local Jr. College or College.
Personally I use both Labrada Nutrition and Frank Zane products for my supplementation.

50g dextrose (glucose), 3 T spoons of aminofuel, 4g glutamine, 4g creatine, 4g BCAA.
Never been a fan of pre-made formulas, since you can't really control or tell what's inside -most ingredients are listed in bulk as part of their bullshit "proprietary blend".
Note that you should never take "empty" protein - always add a saccharide with that (ideally glucose or maltodextrin), especially after workout, when your glycogen reserves are depleted and your body needs it's glucose.
Yes, some swear that the body doesn't need any carbohydrates in order to function. Indeed it will function, but only at the expense of doing some gluconeogenesis, which is basically means it takes protein and transforms it in glucose. So with empty protein what you are partly doing is throwing money down the drain with the additional effect of unnecessary work of the liver and some unnecessary toxins left as a side-product.
changing my lifting routine to avoid the plateau
As long as you are both properly recovering (fully) between workouts, and constantly increasing the load, you will grow. At most (and only if necessary) you can change the number of reps (go higher or lower).
whey isolate, but I don't like it. It's giving results, but it also messes with my digestion too much.
But don't sweat it too much, it is very overrated anywhey (pun intended).

Max's isolation protein
The taste is by far one of the best and its results are the best great post work out protein or meal replacement
i managed to lose 20kgs of fat was not only the protein but it was a shit load of hard work i was training for 2-3 hours a day it gave me the fuel i needed to keep me going great for recovery and i only used it 2 scopes a day one in the morning and one at night
Its all about what your goals are mine was to lose weight and tone up i am short 5.7" was 95kgs before i started training and dropped down to 75kgs
the max's range is great and highly recommend
