The USA has suffered through two of the worst presidents of all time over the last 13 1/2 years. Prospects for November 2016 aren't looking much better. Congress is as dysfunctional as can be, so nothing gets done. President Obama is the most visible, so he is the scapegoat, but there's plenty of blame to go around. Other than that...everything is just peachy!

He is destroying America, but in the same way nearly every president has since Eisenhower, no better or worse. The system can only take so much

Political correctness is destroying free speech. People are losing their jobs for things they post on twitter, or being secretly recorded in their own homes. The thought police is now the liberal media.

America is no longer the Giant it once was. We have become lazy and extreemly stupid. What threatens america the most is this politial fever of quasi-nationalism and libertarianism by a far right uneducated base, who niether know what nationalism means nor the definition of libertarianism. It is the same party who denys global warming on the basis that jesus promised to not flood the earth again. Therefor no need to consern about the melting polar and antarctic ice sheets or carbon emissions. ... And if you doubt their authority look no further than the omnicious evidence of this guarantee known as the rainbow.
Obama is too far in the influence of corpratism. Read the pow memo at the origin of the Tri-lateral commision. The 5 catholic Justices that have 1/3 of this countries power have decided that Corporations are not only people but that they have more rights than people. Corporations are able to give unlimitted funds to polititions . All politicians from here on out will be owned by whatever corporations pay the most. (due to these 5 catholic justices appointed by Bush/Cheney) Obama has appointed the Head of comcast to the head of the FCC (a commisioner who wants to make 2 internets... One for the rich and one for the poor).. He has done alot of things to promote the power of corporatism. But he is owned just like all the others. Obama care has safe guards for the insurance Giants and the Pharmaceutical Giants.
He has done alot of good things that promote a more liberal and social agenda for the US. But nothing near what he promised and what this country needs.
However i couldnt imagine how fucked this country would be right now with Mcain/Palin... Or even worse Romney/Ryan...
We would still be in iraq playing babysitter to the Sunni and Shia. And we would be cutting taxes to an even greater historic low to the plutocratic rich in hopes that it would somehow trickle down to the poor and not endup in the NYSE to sit and compound more and more yeild. We would have troops in Ukrain right now. We would be giving the Military Industial Complex even more fucking money all while cutting funding to the poor.
I could go on..Last edited by bolkonsky; 07-20-2014 at 05:45 PM.

And that is a stupid ass article. Its an op-ed that couldnt even make its way into the lowliest newspaper or even the national review. I'd really reconsider what your reading.
I read the Economist cover to cover every single week. They are not exactly Liberal and they are not an idiotic version of the right. If your going to read something that has a right bias i recommend them.Last edited by bolkonsky; 07-20-2014 at 06:16 PM.
