Not necessarily. I think there is much that a woman can do to initiate her own "sexual responsiveness" such as indulging in sexual fantasy, reading or watching erotica, self-pleasuring or even just acknowledging that she is a sexual being along with any other of the many "hats" she may wear.

The Aussie scientists testing the material
SEX scientists are designing a groundbreaking new condom that will revolutionize intercourse, because its makers claim it will feel better than not using one.
Scientists in Australia won more than £50,000 ($100,000) to design the next generation of Johnnies (condoms) using a different material to latex rubber which can dull the sensation of sex for some.
Researchers at the University of Wollongong are creating a new ultra-durable contraceptive that puts pleasure first. The groundbreaking design will revolutionize our sex lives by offering functions such as self-lubrication to maximize a couple's enjoyment.
The boffins are using hydrogel, a strong and flexible material, which can be made to mimic the feel of human tissue. Hydrogel has been around for decades and is used in the making of prosthetic limbs.
The Aussie design team, led by materials scientist Robert Gorkin, will plough the grant money into researching ways to use this new material in condom design.
Robert explains: "Our original idea was just to try to prove that an original material could replace latex."
Robert's team will join forces with Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne to test how people react to the new condom's feel. The designers will see how bodies respond to the new contraceptive by scanning their brain reactions during sex.
"We'll be able to look at brain activity to see whether it really feels better than latex," he said.
"If you make them so pleasurable that people can't wait to put them on, then more people will use them - and we can hopefully stop the spread of disease.
"It's as simple as that."
He added: "A material alone can't change the way we look at sex, but we believe it can definitely help."
