  • profile picture help please

    I have been resizing pictures all morning and it keeps saying they are not valid .does anyone know a website with pictures 100x100 so I can finally get a profile pik on .thanls for any help in advance

    Maybe if you had renamed a bmp as a jpg, that might cause a problem. Just a guess.

        The file format is jpeg I resized it to 100 x100.i tried many times with different pictures but still carnt get it on here

          Try changing the extension to ".jpg" instead of ".jpeg".

            File needs to be 80x80 or less than 18k. I always resize my avatars to 80x80 or smaller and save them as .jpg


            Edit:
            Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).
            Gym Heros are allowed larger avatars. Might be where you got 100x100 from.

              Thanks dr I will try that now .I find that when I shrink the picture down it loses some quality is tgeir a way to do it without affecting the quality or is it unavoidable because of the pixel count

                  You're welcome. Glad it is working for you now. I always crop the image to a square before resizing, and then keep the proportions even. It's a bit of work, but resizing an even square is the best way to go.
