Europe is reaping what they have sown! For decades they have spent very little on military defense, preferring to let the United States provide for them an umbrella of protection. Since our current administration has left a huge void in middle east stability by pulling all of our troops out, people are fleeing from the atrocities disseminated by ISIS. Now Russia is stepping in.... and they have an agenda! What makes me cry foul is when Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahran, Qatar and the UAE sit back and offer nothing to those seeking asylum. I thought these were brothers and sisters in the Muslim faith?

Can you explain what you mean by "raped by obama?"
It seems to be a very constant gripe, but economy has turned upward ever since he took office. Even the gas prices are down...
Blame the guy for high gas prices, the give credit to low gas prices to something else. It's hilarious to watch the cognitive dissonance operate in the conservative mentality.

The funny thing is all of you are saying the same thing, equality for everyone. That one group does not get more than the others. You all have made valid points (When I say all I mean from the Norse God, To Fav Monkey, Penquin, JPop, LLN and even Horses with Wings, etc-Too many to name) and if you would just be objective in the debate you would see this.
JonPop you just want the respect that comes with having served, because you did it for noble reasons and not for economic reasons. Wishful wants you to understand that the people who sent you they did not care to tell you the truth, they used your heart against you and sent you to fight a war for money to fill their pockets. That does not mean he does not appreciate your efforts he just wants the truth to be told so next time someone goes to war they know the real reason. Cusp is correct having people at your house longer than 3 days (my people love to vacation for 28 days) can be akin to a jagged little pill. So be aware of my needs as your host is just as important as me making sure you as a guest feels comfortable. Comparing this to immigration, how do we make those wanting to enter feel comfortable without depleting our resources for those already here. Well when I visit relatives I offer currency, they always say no but I find a way to give it to them because I realize I am depleting their resources of something as simple as groceries. Tamora has always taken a position of the immigrants should assimilate more, very similar to post I have read from the winged one...so I do not see what the problem is there (maybe I have overlooked a post) but you both have similar viewpoints and he has always been an advocate of the point system. As someone who comes from a multi language family it can be daunting to be around those who speak a language different than you. A friend of one of my relatives stayed with us and she did not speak any english. When we visited her at her palatial home with servants, etc her husband and children speak more than one language. She explained that she often wanted to express to us how much she enjoyed staying with us and how she is trying to learn english better so next time, she would not have to have her daughters say to us what was in her hearts. Often times, new immigrants feel uncomfortable being within a host country and due to the hostile environment may not be able to learn a new language without putting themselves in harms way. So my learning German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and hopefully Mandarin is probably due to my having access to resources that might not be available to someone in a country that many refugees flee from.
Again, you all made valid points. Can you not see how similar your viewpoints are, at least at the heart of it all. You just want everyone to pull their weight, You want everyone to get an equal share, You want entitlements to stop or made available to everyone not the few. You want everyone to respect and honor each other, but this has to begin with respecting and honoring each others viewpoints with out the bodyslams.
I am going back to watch The Block (AU) and get ticked off that Andrew is letting the chippies do the demolition, lazy mofo...

Lowest percentage of economic growth since Jimmy Carter. The unemployment numbers are cooked! It's much much higher than 5.4% - they aren't counting all the people who have fallen off the unemployment rolls due to having exhausted unemployment benefits. The real unemployment number is up around 13%! The labor participation rate is also the lowest it's been in decades, it's in the low 60's percentile. Which means just a little over half our working population is employed.
Gas prices are low for a couple reasons... # 1 - supply is higher than demand. # 2 Fracking! We are domestically producing more oil and natural gas on private land outside of Federal land, and that has OPEC scared shitless, they know we will not need their oil much longer, and that has them hedging their price in order to keep us from becoming totally independent.

All I know is that at times I get sick and tired of living in a country where I feel it is losing it's sense of identity because of political correctness. There is one common theme that runs through a lot of political arguments and that is "religion".

Can we all at least agree that my God is real and all of my opinions are correct?

LMAO...NO!
We need to stop brainwashing our children at an early and vulnerable age with religion and teach them that they have one life...live and die and that's it. Make the most of the life they have, live it to the full and accept other cultures from other countries....that's what makes us unique.
Religion teaches us that only our way of thinking is absolute and righteous...any other way of thinking is immoral and considered indifferent. The name's Tamora...TVR Tamora...with a capital "T".

Yes to the above! The new definition of full time employment is 30 hrs a week. The new definition of someone gainfully employed is anyone who received a paycheck regardless if it is for a full week of work or two hours of work during that reporting period. Cost of business has gone up due to regulations so number of hours has come down in order for business to maintain the bottom line. Oil prices are down because OPEC is flooding the market to try to break the backs of the domestic producers - its a cat and mouse game. And please don't ask for further proof, this is the worst President in my lifetime. Maybe he can go bow to another Saudi prince or Asian dignitary. Did Solindra produce even one solar panel for all the millions given? Shovel ready jobs? Anybody's electricity rates come down? Who else is paying over $5 a pound for ground beef? My health insurance rates doubled last year, yes doubled! Stop me before I get going....

i can't believe how much you guys fell for the talking points...
It's already been discussed at large that the unemployment numbers include people re-entering the work force.
your health insurance rates doubled because you're now paying your fair share. If you don't know how the health law works, that's not anybody else's problem but your own.
It's just amazing how easily people buy into Corporate narrative without even beginning to think for themselves.
