I was thinking more from an inconvenience to the customer and environmental point of view...as far as I'm aware all the money raised goes to good causes and charity, not tax.

I was watching a news item the other day and it showed plastic particles being ingested into plankton and therefore entering the food-chain.

Election time in Canada soon.

Seems to be tougher each time. In my younger days it was simple. Vote partisan. I voted for the same party each election for the longest of times.

Then, as I got older, I started paying attention to the wider world around me. The issues of the day here in Canada as well as those around the globe. Now, I actually gotta think for myself and make a choice.

I think it's an impossible situation especially in Europe at the moment. Austria has already announced that it is going to close it's borders because of the sheer number of so-called migrants trying to make their way to Germany and probably the UK amongst other countries. Then what happens?

I totally agree with UKIP that the UK needs a points system similar to Australia...that's fine for migrants but what about refugees? If citizens are genuinely escaping from war how can a country refuse entry to those people who are more than likely the most vulnerable because of lack of education or wealth?

I don't know the answer.

Why are all these refugees fleeing to Europe when Saudi Arabia, Bahran, Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey and the UAE are so much closer? They wouldn't need to jeopardize drowning in the Mediterranean Sea!

I like Trump's idea .... we go in and secure an area within the country they can flee to, where we provide protection, and humanitarian support until the threat of danger is removed or destroyed. The threat as we all know is a terrorist regime called ISIS. The countries in the Middle East that I mention need to step up! Most are extremely rich in oil and have the means to deal with the problem... they just don't have the will.
