Hy shit wishful!!! This is terrible.
Maybe it's where I live or my line of work. I'm well versed in all things insurance or cover your ass.
I've had total losses of homes 100% rebuilt and have money left over.
Lost cars. 100% replaced awesome upgrades covered.
Health; I must cost these companies over 50k per year. Sometimes more I won't live long enough for them to catch up.
All my clients are certain to get the proper home insurance. My favorite line " if you can afford to buy two of these houses in cash fine don't get insurance. If you can't then get it". Nobody at least where I live doesn't have excellent home insurance.
Note: I was blown away after the storms in NJ to find the massive amount of homes were not insured or under insured or they didn't have the proper coverage. I was shocked.
Did you know: flood insurance is some of the cheapest insurance jn our country. If you are not in a flood zone you should still buy it. it can be as low as $70 per year for $250k coverage. If in a high risk V zone as high as $4000 for $250k. Average policy nationwide is $165.00 for $250k coverage. If you can't afford that you can't afford your house. Also if you can't afford it ( have to prove it) FEMA pays it for you! If you don't have a policy FEMA still helps you.
I recommend you call your insurance underwriter directly. Ask what coverage you CAN buy. Not " what do I have to have". That's the mistake.
To someone else forgot who sorry. I agree gov shouldn't force insurance. However if you choose to live in a developed area you must be able to insure others. Your house fire or debris from a storm could take out mine. You go down if that happens. You want to drive on my roads? Better have insurance. You want a mortgage? You must insure the asset.
You have free will. Don't own.
Health: for three months I've been caring for a very ill person. Every time I take this person to the Er they don't even ask for the insurance until the next day usually. I keep asking don't you need ID and insurance? They say no. We provide care the same care insured or not. Mind you I'm at a top notch hospital. They have to treat this person. Unbelievable. So it's on the patient to be honest. Give the right name. The right ID. Hope the patient already knows their insurance covers that hospital.
Medicare; relative had a $230,000 surgery at a top notch hospital. Relative out of pocket... $1450.00. Nice. The Dick is the Best Toy Ever!

Part of it comes into play where you live. Many insurance companies won't even sell in Montana. Too many strange regulations. Not enough clients. Then coverages change and we don't fully understand what is or is not covered anymore. Flood insurance isn't even offered in my home area. Won't sell it to me for any price. House was built over 100 years before it burnt down, but insurance claims it is in the flood plain. Too many variables for the average person to keep track of. I did an appraisal every # years and updated insurance coverage for years. Then insurance provider convinced me that was a waste. Just buy the replacement coverage. Mistake on my part. It is a slippery slope when the variables get used in a shell game. There is no reason to have all the ways to have your insurance taken away or cut coverages. My home was every bit as important to me as anyone in any other state. I was responsible and purchased the insurance. I just did not pay close enough attention when the small print came out. Thanks Landi, I appreciate the thoughts. I just don't support the companies that take advantage of some, and make out landish profits off us.
How much was the ACA? Like a million dollars for every person in the United States? Give each of us a million and let us insure ourselves. Bank bailouts? Give us all a refund of our mortgages. Less cost and banks still bailed out. Silly really, we allow our government to bend us over something terrible.ALL THE WAY WITH GOOD OLE JAY!

Well, of course I have to use I and me because you are invading my private freedom and liberty. Don't you get it?? what do you guys are fed at school to grow up with those twisted ideals?? You do not invade peoples private life. You stay away from that. It is not your business. I repeat, it is not your business. Do you love insurances and all that crap? Perfect! buy for your whole family and if you still love it buy some for me too! Just don't step in my damn business. You are the absolute owner of every single penny you make/earn and nobody can tell you what to do with it. We already have a defective tax code and thats more than enough to produce billions and billions of wasted revenues.
I am not saying illegal aliens are the cause of medical costs. What I am saying is that all the money we spend in illegal aliens giving them free education, health care, welfare, food stamps, etc, plus the money wasted in humanitarian aid, would be way more than sufficient to pay already for healthcare for every single American. Just do the math how much it costs per day to have an aircraft carrier floating in the sea around the world ready for "humanitarian" aid. SO stop the hypocrisy. There is money out there. Nobody will force me to pay more for some shit that I will never use and doesn't even work as intended.

I agree. The medical system is a debacle. I say it all the time, it is a corrupt, manipulated for profit third worldish system.
What happens is is that, lets assume I say the same "you know what, in order to fix this shit lets all pay a little bit to keep costs low" Yes, sounds like a solution, but in reality all I am doing is giving up to that corrupt system. Is like extortion. Is like all this time they kept a gun in my head saying "if you don't pay a million for a broken bone, I'll shoot you" knowing that the treatment for that bone would be 20 bucks. By making all of us pay for an insurance, is giving that million to these parasites for every broken bone.
What we need to fix is the cost of treatments and procedures. And that comes all the way from pharmaceutical companies and biotech companies.
We are not the problem here. We are the victims. Everybody is taking advantage that we are the ones who need the services so we are told "hey, you gotta pay you know? you have no other option or you will die"

Crap wishful. But yes we too have that problem. Vintage homes (25 years or older) get higher premiums. If they can prove up to current code they'll get discounts but have to agree to replacement on current building material. Not antique or vintage. People owning property like that have to self insure previous building supplies/finishes etc. Definitely location changes everything. Very sorry to hear this :-(
Ty for sharing though. I learned something I will share with others from your story. XoThe Dick is the Best Toy Ever!

Jackxxx, I really do understand your position. And I don't necessarily disagree with it. I just feel that sometimes we sacrifice some individual freedoms for the greater good. Yes, lets stop sending aid to all these shit hole countries that hate us. Yes, it pisses me off that we give all this free shit, not only to Americans but illegals. Yes, I hate that we bailed out banks but not the people hurt by the. Hell, I can't even refinance my student loans, and Republicans are against that for some reason. We need to completely reform entitlements. I see all these fat asses buying groceries with food stamps, that I pay for. But we also need to tax and regulate these hige corporations making billions paying people minimum wage. So yes, I am a liberal, mainly because of social issues. But I also see why you as a Conservative get frustrated with Liberal thinking because Liberals seem to think we should give out more free shit to perfectly healthy individuals that don't want to work. Now, we disagree on the ACA, but I think we share some of the same goals. Immigration, Im sure you think we should deport 12 million people. Impossible. I think we need to secure the border. Nobody else comes in. Then have a path to citizenship, pay back taxes, fines, whatever. But no more motherfuckers coming into this company. We already have too many people.
Done.

well, I pretty much agree with your entire post. And I don't really consider myself a conservative, but a Libertarian. That's why I am not a Republican. As a Libertarian for example, even though Sanders sounds to me like a wacko, I agree with his gun control thinking and I agree with his intentions of keeping us out of international conflicts.
And yes, no more employees in this company

And she leads the Dems polls - do all the Dems have Alzeheimers???
Had Almost Forgotten...
When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn’t even get a vote in a democratic controlled congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for studies, promotion, and other efforts.
Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood – both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno – husband Bill described her selection as “my worst mistake.” Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.
Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovered of Ms. Guanier’s radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.
Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department. Her selections went well: Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.
Many younger votes will have no knowledge of “Travelgate.” Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson – and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours.
Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House. Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.
Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the “bimbo eruption” and scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle was:
She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones.
She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor. After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs.
Hillary’s devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for 'lying under oath' to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives.
Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, “I do not recall,” “I have no recollection,” and “I don’t know” a total of 56 times while under oath.
After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen.
What a swell party – ready for another four or eight year of this type low-life mess?
Now we are exposed to the destruction of possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and the “pay to play” schemes of the Clinton Foundation – we have no idea what shoe will fall next. But to her loyal fans - “what difference does it make?”
Electing Hillary Clinton president would be like granting Satan absolution and giving him the keys to heaven!
Please pass this on. Our way of life may depend on it.
