Oh the big pharm industry; how evil are they? Yup they are. Funny their stock doesn't seem to make as much money as Facebook does it? How much does it cost to make a drug? Sometimes hundreds of millions of dollars. Drugs they make but never come to market because they don't perform well they can cost hundreds of millions of dollars too.

Well if they are making so much money how come their stock doesn't do as well as Facebook? Do you think they take a large amount of their profit and put it back into developing new drugs? What a neat idea. Maybe that's what they do with all that money.

Look at the greater life expectancy we have now because of all these drugs they developed. You want to stiffle it and put he government in control? The government can't run Amtrak, the post office, and a whole lot of other things. Those that want more regulation I guess what to die.

Oh the billonaire that brought the rights to that drug and jacked up the price. Well folks found out about it and guess what? It's not jacked up anymore is it? That's what a free market can do.

It dawned on me that in the midst of typing a response, you had no clue you were being condescending as well. I have absolutely zero patience for condescension in constructive conversation. I am essentially a multiplication mirror.

As an aside. Since you seem to genuinely be interested and not in a condescending manner, I do have hobbies and they were making money for me, too. Residential design (hopefully this economy picks back up) and automotive stuff.


I am lucky enough to have had a couple residential design jobs pop up. Full renovations and additions.

I have an automotive business with very little overhead as well. I have been trying to expand but since my mom got sick, and now she doesn't have insurance, I have to come out of pocket immensely. She makes too much on disab. to qualify for Medicare but not enough to survive. All my business money goes to making sure she has her medications which are amazingly expensive.

Hoping with this new job I can put some money into expanding my business so I can venture back out and do what I love... Even though I love what I'm doing at this job, too. So... Just a matter of time.

It has never been said about me that I am not a hard worker... I worked my way through architecture school lmao. (architecture school is just as rigorous and intense as medical school with just as many sleepless nights!)

No, now some whinny, meek looking millionaire sleaze takes advantage of dying people, people can look and say "WOW! look now that's the free market."

No, there's been THOUSANDS of times drugs have been bought and sold and NO alternative has been found. people end up paying 15 to100 times more for a drug. It's been happening for decades and that's how our healthcare costs have sky rocketed (along with doctors ordering expensive tests for the hell of it.)

That's the dumbest example of "free market" I've heard. and I hear it ALL the time... Just because YOU just heard about this problem, doesn't mean it just started existing. The world is larger than just your eyes.

So, what you're saying is that people should just continue to get screwed over until another millionaire tries to make a killing on the suffering of people PUBLICLY (most of them do it privately, which is how nobody knows about it) and then cause a big stink to get ONE MORE drug replicated in the name of making sure your point of "free markets" works?"

I am a business starter... But, you've gotta start somewhere, and that's what I'm doing. LOL I know. In fact, in my own philosophical times I have thought on how to make communism work. The only day It will work for the first time, it will be the day we have robots to do absolutely everything. Communism cannot work right now because somebody HAS to do the job. To have funds or good coming from somewhere, they have to be produced to begin with and to be produced it takes human intervention either physical or intellectual. Ion essence we can't have a few humans doing all the production to sustain others why can't/refuse to do it. Well, tried very hard to make my last posts as non-condescending and non-confrontational as possible and just state some facts, tell a story and try to answer some of your topics. I think we had assumed based on the author the tone of the message and read it with that negative feeling. Which is why I put a disclaimer on my last post because the reaction did not anywhere match what I wrote or the intent of what I wrote.

Kudos for taking care of your Mom, I am sure that those experiences have helped shape your view on certain social issues including healthcare. Don't give up the dream of reigniting your business again. I'm sure Cusp would be happy to help underwrite it.

Why did the democrats not fix things when they had the congress, and the presidency? Why don't the republicans fix things when they have the majority? They are not working for us.

Acknowledge first who they are, and who they represent, and quit worrying about which one of you slaves is getting the best shake, or the worse deal. Join each other and actually find a whole lot of slaves willing to go represent us. Then maybe a dialogue can happen which leads to statesmen who represent the people. Sorry to hear about your mom sbe. If she's on disability can she get Medicare? If so she can get an HMO and that includes prescription coverage. Now to Dec 7th don't delay. The Medicare advantage HMO is at no additional cost. It comes out of the same part b premium.
Alternative is to apply directly to the pharm that makes the drugs she needs. They all have a department that offers the drugs at Walmart prices or less. Basically if you can't get it for $10 at Walmart and are on disability or Medicaid they have a plan for you.
The Obama "hardest hit" program offers aide for owners and renters. Check online.
Renters or owners can apply to their states Weatherized Assistance Program and lehip. They pay the utilities costs and food expenses in addition to any aide one receives. I suggest a social worker who is trained to provide all aide one can be eligible for. Times are very tough but we live in a great country with help. It's just not that easy to find. Praying for y'all.
