Humans are young. The more science the more many realize we were made specifically this way. Either way I love believing that if I live a good life on earth I'm happier as are others. When this shell dies I believe I go to the next great place to see all my dead people before me. If it turns out that doesn't happen what's lost? Nuttin. It's a win win. If I am self aware after death I hope I get a sit down or a book with the answers to my questions. I have a few :-)

PS. Ever sit outside at night in the quiet. It's not quiet. So much life. Billions of things going on in the area you can see. That's no accident. Right in your range of site you could ponder for days how much is going on in the air. In the ground. All around you. It's too cool. I believe He gave earth life. Gave us life. We are an experiment. That's ok by me.

I can agree with alot you say here, believe away, if you get your wish of moving on once your dead then all the best. Obviously my views are that im either going to be cremated and scattered over the Isle of Man race course never to be seen again or im going to be worm food. No one knows what happens as no one has ever come back from the dead to tell us so, so i cant say what i think will happen to me will definitely happen. If i end up sat next to you in an after life (if there is one) then I'll be the first to admit im wrong. But for now, as with ghosts, I'll believe it when i see it.

I am fair game to anything, i am very easy going. I'm not racist, im not prejudice, i dont believe in god, jesus, the bible, the qoran or Allah (excuse my ignorance if there are any more religious belongings). And although intriguing i can't fully agree with the scientists more so because im probably not bright enough to understand it. we obviously came from somewhere but until there is concrete evidence I'll forever remain a glass half empty kind of guy. As a 32 year old married father of 2, my main aim in the 60-70-80 something years ive got on this earth is to honour and serve my family, to work hard and keep them safe. And besides, my kids have enough imaginary friends for there to be any room for any more

Well, you're post shows that you don't know what you're talking about. I specifically said that Sumerians "Knew the composition of the solar system with the 9 planets we know today." But thats not all they knew.

For them the solar system was composed by 12 members. The 9 planets we know, plus the moon, the sun and one 12th planet they had knowledge of. Sometimes referred to as Planet x, nemesis, the destroyer, and many other names throughout history.

You just jumped in the thread without reading the previous posts.
The Gods (not God) got their intelligence through millions of years of natural evolution.
They created man as a slave species to do the work for them.
Is not pointless. Everything had a specific purpose.

Evolution isn't an instant process, it takes time and happens in minuscule steps. We're still evolving. As a species we're becoming taller. Our jaws are becoming thinner and smaller, because we don't need the big teeth we used to use to tear into raw meat. As we've moved to doing tasks that have required finer and more detailed motor skills our fingers have become longer and more slender. Actually we're very slowly moving more towards the traditional "grey alien" stereotype.

And evolution doesn't just "happen" without certain requirements in place. There has to be need, ability, and opportunity. Most animals can't build complex structures because they lack things like opposable thumbs. Dolphins are extremely intelligent but with their current body structure they're never going to build a spaceship. Why did one group of apes evolve into what we've become today? They were at the right place at the right time - the others weren't. It's as simple as that.

As for what other species can and cannot do, gorillas can learn sign language and communicate with humans that way. They've even been observed teaching it to others. They have the intelligence, they have the ability, they've just never had the need.

What "need" they did not have? Put humans in nature without any piece of technology. Nature would get rid of them very quickly. Why? Because humans were never adapted. They have been adapting the environment to their convenience through technology. At which point they bypassed natural selection? Never. That doesn't happen in nature unless you introduce a creature that is already at this stage of "evolution" but to get to that stage it has to be genetically engineered. The genetic defects we have, cannot be found in primates. That doesn't happen in nature.

What about cave men, what technology did they have to survive? Im sure we have stemmed from them?. Nature surely didn't eradicate the cave man then we were created surrounded by the technology to survive?

Sorry, but having died 3 times in my life, and having read many accounts of others who have died and come back, I have to say you are wrong. The eye witness testimony is just not believed by you. It doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

But you can't prove it unless you can recreate the result. Some people die and didn't even know it, others die and see utter darkness. One experience does not prove it.

Hundreds of thousands have "seen aliens", but we have yet to actually have proof of them, and plenty still say they saw Elvis recently.

For something the scope of God we need evidence and the The Bible was tampered with so many times over the ages that we can't even be certain if those words are God's or not.
