Here is something for those of us that know an aging vet. When my father in law passed away as a former Navy man he was buried in the national cemetery upstate NY. They had an honor guard and a recording of taps was played. Yes it was sad but it just didn't seem right.
A few weeks later I saw an incredible man who started an organization called Bugles Across America. For no charge they will provide a bugler to play taps at any vets funeral. I believe the gates of Heaven are opened much faster when taps is played and not recorded.
A few vets I know have passed away since I learned of that site and I have passed this info to the next of kin. I have attended a few of those burials and it is the right thing to do but let me tell you if you don't start crying as taps is played you are heartless.The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!

FIFA tried to stop England and Scotland from wearing poppies on their armbands during the World Cup qualifying game tonight played on Armistice Day, citing that it was a political statement and threatened fines and deducted points if they did so.
What did England and Scotland say?
