Anybody know if Australia was able to get rid of the guns? I think they did, which would be evidence that it can be done. Which is different than not wanting it to happen.

For those of you that insist on keeping guns, are you okay with a gun registry that would allow the police to trace (with a warrant) the source of a weapon used in a crime? Japan has a gun registry, and as far as I can tell their government has not slipped into tyranny.

The strictest gun laws do not prevent criminals and terrorists from getting and using guns. The strictest laws against using drugs like heroin, meth and cocaine do not prevent people from getting and using illegal drugs. Guns are not the problem! To suggest that stricter gun restrictions and registration laws would help or slow the problem of criminals or terrorist using guns to kill innocent people is just naive and silly.

I will continue to exercise my right to own guns and use my "carry & conceal" permit. I would much rather be able to protect myself and family against a criminal or terrorist that wished to do me harm than be on my knees begging for my life.

People from certain countries that have predominately Muslim populations and practice Sharia Law need to be excluded from entering our country until we can accurately identify them and their reasons for wanting to come live in the United States. If they can't accept our Constitution and live by OUR laws, then they should stay in the hell hole they currently live in. We don't need them and we don't want them! And when Trump is elected and he gets a congressional act of war against ISIS we will hunt these cockroaches down and kill them wherever they are! If they want to hide in Mosques or behind women and children then so be it.... they will still be destroyed. This is war, not patty cake! They have no issues about killing anyone who they feel like. So an eye for an eye baby!!! Anyone who doesn't like it can eat fecal matter!

The chart is perfectly accurate. 250 million people, 3 of 100,000 means about 9000 people. Chicago alone gives at least 400 of those a year.

You can't ban guns in the US. There are too many of them. Then you would only have bad guys with guns. What we need to do is enforce the laws and do proper security checks. Nobody should be able to walk into a gun store and just walk out with an assault rifle. That is ridiculous. Nobody needs an assault rifle for any reason. Im not suggesting banning them, but there needs to be stricter enforement and better background checks, maybe a training course or certification. Sorry, just handing any Joe Smoe an assualt rifle is ludicrous.

Making it harder for criminals or terrorists to obtain weapons is the idea. Could they build a bomb, sure. But thats harder than going down to the corner gun store. If you are a law abiding citizen, whats wrong with going through a proper security check.

That doesn't work. But number one, if anybody needs an assault rifle, that is up to each individual freedom. There is nobody nor entity who can determine what weapon each citizen "needs" If those weapons are available for the government, then they MUST be available for the people because WE are the government.

But those tougher laws wont work because as I said before, if a criminal knows he wont pass the background check our psychological tests or whatever, its very simple. He gets the weapon in the black market. Its that simple. So those stricter laws are a complete waste of time and resources.

In fact, this terrorist in Orlando worked before as a security guard in a court house. He passed every background check. He passed every psychological test. Still, you see the results.

No Such Luck in California. I purchased a gun for my wife and later transfered the gun into her name and we had to visit a Federal Firearms License holder to make the transfer.


There is no Strawman Purchases in California and no Gun Show purchases without the Back Round Check and 14 day wait. At California Gun Shows you go through the same 14 day waiting period as you would if you purchased the gun from a Gun Dealer.

I live in the deep south of the US and there are guns everywhere. 12 year olds are taught to shoot and hunt. It's not the amount of guns around it's the thoughts of the people involved.

Where I am no one is shooting each other or robbing people. Go to the south side of Savannah GA, 30 minutes from my house and there is one group of people who hunt each other nightly. Simple as someone "Dissed Me" so now I have to shoot them dead. They do and go to jail. They rob each other, rape, pillage making their neighborhood a terrible place. Those are the people who account for most of the US killings.

Crazy people are just crazy people, hard to stop them.

As far as the crazy Islamic people, the need to stay in their own countries. I don't care if they fight and kill each forever they just don't need to come where I am. I'm crazy fighting for my God is the worse case person to run into. The US and Europe seem to want to import these savages in mass numbers, it will just bring their savage mind set to the developed world. Nothing good can become of them or their children.

I can cause mayhem with a 12 gauge shot gun and a bunch of 00 shells. In fact for closed quarters that would be my weapon of choice. A miltary style gun doesn't mean it's going to be the most deadly.

That top one looks like a 22 I have but the clip is way to big so that's not a 22.

I would say those are both large cal semi auto rifles.

NONE. If the government or any of its agencies or armed forces has access to them, then we MUST have access to them because again, WE, THE PEOPLE are the government. We rule the country, NOT the elected officials. They are employees hired by us.

I travel frequently to east TN and we always fire assault rifles and guns in the backyard. Everybody carry guns everywhere, crime is almost non existent and the typical stereotype of troublemaker citizen is not found anywhere in that area. I DO believe in profiling and I do profile all the time simply because statistics DONT lie. Its just a matter of seeing what happens in the big cities and its relationship with demographics.

GUNS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM. Liberals need to understand that. Statistically, more people died last year accidentally from hammers bought at home depot. Should we put a ban on hammers and sue home depot?? THAT IS HOW RETARDED is the liberal agenda.
