Few facts about this..

1) It didn't happen in Texas...
2) Try that shit randomly in Texas, and see what happens...
3) And 3rd.. He would have been shot dead in Texas shorty after opening fire.....
(Texas being one, if not the most pro-gun state)

BUT instead....

It happened in a nice, safe for the shooter "gun free" zone with NO ONE armed at all (and no one brave enough to rush the shooter ether).. Even armed security could of been the answer to saving more people..

Instead... 3 hours of shooting at will and a 50 dead, the death toll could be have been minimal or even just injuries with someone to fire back..

Lastly, it's not the weapon that is use, whatever it is.. He very easily could of locked the doors to the place and set it on fire.. Doesn't matter, end result is still a lot of dead people... It's the "ideals" of these people that are dangerous..

I, and millions of other people lawfully own firearms, if we were to get pissed off I think every one would know about it..

Military grade "Assault Rifles" are banned from the public, only a very select few can own them.. They don't walk into the local gun shop anywhere and say "I want the M249 "SAW" there in the corner" .. Or "how much for that Dillon Mini gun"??Lol.. No, it's time to get them off the street! 30 years ago I worked at a psychiatric hospital and at the time anyone who posed a threat to their self or others was enough cause to have them brought in for evaluation and to retain them. These type of incidences were much less likely back then. Now days it's a let's wait and see if they commit a crime first. This wacko in Orlando was brought in and interviewed by the FBI on 4 separate occasions. I guess we just let them go out and prove that they are a threat before we can do anything, that's pretty sad.

Guns were created for one purpose. I don't own a gun, I don't want a gun and I don't need a gun.

If you are insinuating that the only purpose is to kill people you are dead wrong. 90% of the firearms in this country are for sporting use, not murder, robing or some other type of terrorism. I own 2 guns and they sit in my closet collecting dust until I decide that I may want to go out hunting sometime. To state that England and in particular London is the most watched by "Government" is a fallacy and misleading. That gives the impression that a Government "big brother" is watching over us. A small corner shop may have CCTV monitored by the shop owner, a retail outlet may have CCTV monitored by the store manager. Councils have CCTV in town centers monitored by council staff.

Lastly, living in a country where firearms isn't a part of our culture is superior in my opinion. This isn't about who has the biggest dick, it's about saving lives.

See we don't have much of a violence issue outside of terrorism and drugs wars when it comes to guns. Subtract those #s from shooting deaths and our country is fare less violent then countries like the uk.

That would mean no armed military and no armed police, and also no armed law abiding citizens.

Here in the US it is illegal to carry a concealed pistol in any place that serves alcohol.. if government wants to completely ban guns and yank them from law abiding citizens, there will be more defenseless mass shootings, because criminals and ill minded will always have and/or find a way to get guns.

If it were legal, for law abiding citizens, to carry in clubs, I bet'cha the mass shooting that happened yeaterday would not have been as large; instead a law abiding citizen would have taken out the gunman, instead of waiting on police arrive to do so.

My question is, why did the owner of the night club not have an AR? I know if I was a night club owner, I'd have one with me every night at my place of business.

These terrorists and ill minded people seem to always target locations where they know that everyone will be legally defenseless.

Carry laws need to change, and they are, for the better.
