Hi all,
I'm posting to introduce myself to you guys. Please read carefully as I think I have articulated myself quite well!
I would have posted this in your newbie section but I actually have little more than a passing interest in penis enlargement, I'm happy with my size and I have joined this forum because of the Premature Ejaculation section. I have been an anonymous follower for a few days now, and I've carefully read every page of almost every major thread in this section with huge interest.
A bit about me
I'm a firm believer that vocabulary affects psychology so I will not say that I 'suffer' from 'PE' but rather I will say that my process of sexual response is, through either conditioning or nature, too rapid and unrefined. Sounds very convoluted but I find it helps a lot to redefine the issue before tackling it.
At the age of 19 I lost my virginity to a girl at university who I was with for about 8 months. I made her come many times using my hands and mouth but when it came to penetration I would manage to last anything between 10-30 seconds, and even then thrusting was not particularly vigorous. It is hard for me to say why the relationship collapsed (she wasn't the best communicator) but I'm willing to bet money that it was at least partly due to this issue. This has affected me emotionally and rocked my confidence ever since. I am now 23 and she is the last girl I slept with, so I haven't had sex for over 3 years now. Opportunities have brought themselves to me and I have always either consciously or subconsciously avoided them leading anywhere because I am basically too terrified to have sex anymore. I once spoke to my doctor about it and he said it shouldn't be a big issue and to come back when I had a partner. The problem being that if it wasn't for this issue, I would have taken my opportunities and have another partner by now! Vicious circle!
Having given up on the traditional/medical approaches to dealing with the problem, I basically avoided it being a big thing in my mind for the last 3 years. Now, after a period where I didn't receive much attention, girls seem to be into me again and I think it's time I took my sexuality more seriously because I am missing out on life. I don't even remember how, but I ended up here.
A bit about you guys
This is the best and most in-depth discussion of PE that I have seen yet. I am seriously impressed with people like PE zen, Pegasus, Minuteman, Spanky and others. I think you guys are at the cutting edge of something here and I want to be a part of that. Hopefully after gaining some experience I can be of help to myself and other people in similar situations to me. That big thread started by Naturesucks was particularly interesting as it shows the massive importance of psychology and attitude when expanding your sexual knowledge, and understanding that dealing with rapid sexual response is a JOURNEY not a quick fix process.
My thoughts
The biggest obstacles I think are mental. You have to deal with pessimism (the belief that there is no solution) and also motivation (because, like any other form of exercise, you need to be motivated to do it regularly). After thinking about the issue for too long and worrying a lot, it's easy to just switch off and run away and play video games or something, because it can be too difficult to face something like this when everything is uncertain. The other mental obstacle is loneliness and isolation - The feeling that you are alone and some sort of freak for even being like this when all your friends are banging away like rabbits! Hopefully being here can fix that because now I am in understanding company.
I've spent literally hours reading all the posts and I think my brain is fried. I don't know what action to take now but I'm guessing I need to start edging/balooning and do a Kegel/Reverse Kegel routine. The PFM balance theory seems to make sense to me and I am thinking of doing at least 50% RKs in my routine to even out the muscle groups.
I also own three books on Male Multiple Orgasm: The Multiorgasmic Man by Chia, Male Multiple Orgasm by Pokras, and How to make love all night by Barbara Keesling. I'm really interested in MMO and my instinct tells me that it should be the ultimate goal, but I think edging and K/RK routine should be done first to increase general awareness of what is going on 'down there'
I also own a Fleshlight Stamina Training Unit and I do OK in that using desensitising products like Stud100, and even Durex Performa condoms to an extent, but I would love to be able to stand a chance in that thing without desensitising myself (I find it substantially reduces Erection Quality)
I have also completely stopped using all porn.
My question to you
Because I have read so much and my brain is tired, I could use a little help. I want to make a 'sexercise' routine that is going to help me take control of my sexual response. Can you guys perhaps make a little workout plan for me? When I work out in the gym I always make sure I know how many sets/reps I am going to do, and that I'm using the correct form for the exercise. I guess I want the same clarity here. If one of you guys could give me a routine to start (involving edging, balooning, K/RK, whatever you think is necessary to start out) that would be great. Time is not an issue for me, I will do what it takes.
Also, I can't really find any clear instructions on Kegels and Reverse Kegels. I'm fairly confident I can Kegel correctly but I am unfamiliar with the Reverse Kegel. Is it basically the same thing you do when you're squeezing out a stubborn bit of sh*t? Cos I'm pretty sure the anal muscles are separate from the Pelvic floor muscles. I have read about PC and BC, can you guys clear up the difference for me and explain the Reverse Kegel in detail?
