Recently joined and recently fixed flacid phimosis

So I recently figured out I could retract it manually. So I saw my head for the first time. However it doesn't retract when I get erect and when I start to get erect while its retracted it hurts. Any suggestions? Should I jelq while retracted? I would like to be able to see it and have it be retracted more often. Should I keep it retracted? I've never had it retracted before until now. If I leave it retracted will the skin stretch? I've heard that phimosis limits growth, so should I keep it retracted? If it gets bigger while retracted it should conceivably get easier and less painful right?

Welcome to the gym

I don't have much experience in this area - I just wanted to say welcome to the gym. Hopefully someone with experience with phimosis will stop in soon and give some practical advice.
