Hello all,
After a few months lurking, I think it's about time I introduced myself and express my gratitude for all the information and contriubtions on the forum here.
Soooo, I'm 26 and have never been too insecure about all things penis-related except for not always lasting as long as I'd like and, as a grower, a certain case of "locker room syndrome". I found this site looking for things to increase control and endurance, definitely digged what I saw about EQ (I had already tried kegeling for a period of time) and decided to look around. I was highly skeptical at first about the enlargement aspect, but seeing so many regular posters who were entirely sincere caught my attention. Working in a scientific field, I had seen published studies about extenders and ligament surgery for length and pumping for ED and an hourglass shape, so I guess I wasn't completely as skeptical as I used to be, and I could see how these concepts applied to manual exercises.
On a side note, I'm a huge fan of bodyweight exercises/calisthenics, so I have to say I love the free/low-tech aspect of manual PE.
After reading a lot for about a month, I was especially excited about the endurance and EQ possiblities, and had read that flaccid gains were among the first to happen, so I was in. My priorities are still definitely EQ and endurance, with flaccid size being important as well. Along with maintaining good/great EQ, I especially want to be able to last the first time around as well as I do when I go for a second bout, as this is where I have always been able to pick up the pace more and the results have always been the best with my partners at that point. Erect size comes last, but, as I think everyone here who was already pretty satisfied with their size can attest to, it's too tempting to not try to see how well I can gain (right?).
I gave JP90 a try, although I lightened it up a little and split it up to fit into my schedule. I will go into more depth in a separate thread but I finished the 3 months 3 weeks ago. I am happy to say that I gained (see my signature). Needless to say, when I saw 7" on the ruler, my skepticism was vanquished for good. I think some of this has to do with EQ, but it was already good to begin with.
I'm quite happy with the results, but there are some drawbacks. I believe my flaccid has somewhat improved, but my endurance got worse for a while and is almost back to baseline now (but not improved). After reading alot on the subject, I realize now I have always had a tight pelvic floor, hence my somewhat lacking endurance, and all the kegels while stretching probably wound it up even more. After edging and not coming around 2.5 months in, I noticed a definite hard flaccid (not just turtling, I think some members will know what I'm talking about and I don't want to spend too much space describing it) that was pretty bad for about 2-3 days, except when sitting or lying down. You know it's not turtling when it makes you want to pass out when you see it!
Thankfully, there is now a lot of information about this here, including that ridiculous 200 page HF thread. For those 2-3 days while I was trying to figure out what it was, the stress just made it worse. I completely agree with most of what was said towards the end of that 200 page thread about a lot of it being psychological, but it is definitely physical too. So, after finding out that it is basically a pelvic floor spasm, this definitely calmed me down. I took 2 weeks off and stretched my lower body every night (buttocks and hamstrings were chronically tight at that time). This, along with a postive mindset has really helped me recover. I still get it unfortunately when I don't pop after edging, when I exercise strenuously, and sometimes after going for 2 rounds of sex with my GF. I actually don't stress it too much anymore, I think that I may have had it occasionally previously in the same situations, besides edging, which I didn't do before, but was far less attuned to my member... Anyway, after a 2-week break, I actually found that returning to light PE helped even more. I know many guys with HF would criticize my decision to contine PE'ing, but others have also found it to help. I have dropped all kegeling for the time being and am working on reverse kegels 3x a week and will be looking into other ways to relax my pelvic floor.
On a side note, I think the information on this forum is realistic and members definitely tell newbies to be cautious, but I do think that we should take tight pelvic floors into consideration before prescribing a JP90 routine with only kegels. I think that if someone already has certain signs (prem-E, prostate or other pain or tightness in that area...), it would be most beneficial to only do reverse kegels for at least a few weeks. I found kegeling while pulling on my member to intensify the kegel, and thought it was pretty great until the whole HF thing happened. I was doing quick kegels, about 1 second in length, but with a pretty good clench to them, so perhaps this was too forceful. It's hard to tell. Anyway, that's just my humble opinion!
Now, enough about me, wait, just kidding! Almost done. As for my screen name, it's both a reference to finding out that manual PE isn't utter BS like everything else online in this regard but especially for the community here which is realistic and empathetic and does not push products. Honestly, I never would have thought that a forum like this would actually make me MORE ok with what I've got. What a paradox.
This brings me to my last point, size goals! I have definitely read enough threads about certain downsides to size to make me reconsider what I thought I would like. I thought 8x6 sounded great when I was starting but I realize now that I am already at a length that can occasionally cause pain with my GF if I'm not careful. I have now downsized my goals (see signature), especially girth, because I would rather be on the safe side for my current or any potential future partner and would not want to limit certain favorite positions. Not trying to criticize anyone else's goals, many people have 8"x6" as a goal and that's fine, and many women could certainly "take" that much and even prefer it. I am just not willing to reduce my chances of frequent, lengthy sex without soreness with a certain percentage of women, epecially petite/light-framed women. I defintely want to PE for myself but I will be taking my GF's comfort into consideration along the way.
I am currently on Big Al's jelq-free routine, but have lightened up the stretching and split up the length and girth routines for scheduling reasons. I am definitely liking it, but willl go into more detail in another post.
There you have it, my life story. I always wanted to be a writer! I will be more concise in future posts.Last edited by PleasantlySurprised; 07-27-2014 at 05:31 AM.

HMM OK ,I suggest you try deep flat footed squats held in the low position. You might also try massage with a ball as mentioned in some threads, I take it you have seen the yoga threads.
The Jp was developed before the site was aware of the importance of pelvic balance rk etc

Thanks for the replies! That mental PE thread is great, I had somehow not seen it before but it really sums up all the great advice on mindset I have seen elsewhere and have taken to heart.
Thanks for the suggestion Pegasus. I have seen the yoga thread and will be putting some of those stretches to use. The tennis ball stretch (5 minutes sitting) seemd to feel good but after about 2 weeks I actually felt tightness in the prostate area during sex with decreased endurance. Maybe I will give it another try. Is there a thread about the deep squat? Like for how long or if done for sets? I definitely wasn't criticizing JP90 but I think that it could be mentioned in the sticky or in recommendations that RK's could be more advantageous for some at first.
Cheers!Start (4/14)- 6.5 BPEL, 6.0 NBPEL, 4.8 MEG, 5.1 BEG
Current (8/14)- 6.8 BPEL, 6.2 NBPEL, 5.1 MEG, 5.3 BEG
Goals- EQ 10/10, stamina +++
7.0-7+ BPEL, 5.3-5.6 MEG (not going to be picky!)
