        You're most welcome!

        One gram of L-Arginine or L-Citrulline powder would likely fit into a standard sized thimble with room to spare. A 5 g scoop comes with certain brands- such as GNC.

          I wanted to share a recent development. For some background, I have been battling some mild ED, not getting morning wood, and sometimes struggle to be hard enough for penetration. I even have a Viagara prescription for sex. I have tried many different supplements with not much success. I have even tried an L-Citrulline (3g)/L-Arginine (2g)/L-Ornithine (1g) daily combo and didn’t see much improvement.

          I had been off any sort of L-Citrulline/L-Arginine for 10 days, when I thought I would try it again except maybe increase the Arginine dose. Yesterday, I went with a total of L-Citrulline (3g) & L-Arginine (4g).
          - 9:30am -> L-Cit (1.5g) + L-Arg (1g)
          - Noon -> L-Arginine (1g)
          - 5:30pm -> L-Arginine (1g)
          - 9:30pm -> L-Cit (1.5g) + L-Arg (1g)

          I didn’t notice much during the day yesterday, but I woke up in the middle of the night to pee and had a 5/10 erection that I have not seen during the night in a LONG time.

          Then, this morning I went with:
          - 7:30 -> L-Cit (1.5g) + L-Arg (1g)

          I have already seen some good random erections this morning. This is the first real good correlation of supplements to erections that I have seen, and it’s only Day 2!! I will keep you guys updated on how things progress.

            Nice dude! That's got to feel amazing getting morning wood again!

            I got my order of vitamins yesterday from Amazon, and hoping to have this same experience. I'm fortunate to have good morning wood, but I've read it can be great for PE recovery and gains too. Also, if you're a weight lifter its good for muscle growth as well.

              For the record, yesterday, I also took:
              - Vitamin D-3 (2,000 IU) & K-2 (90 mcg)
              - EGCg (green tea extract, 200 mg)
              - pomegranate juice (8 oz)
              - olive oil (1.5 tbsp)
              - multivitamin

              However, I’ve been taking this combo for a few weeks, which makes me confident that it is the increased Arginine that is helping with the erections.

                It does feel really amazing! I’m trying not to get too excited because I have had some random good results for a day, only for them to disappear the next day.

                Yeah, it would be nice to help with gains and impress the wife with some bigger biceps too. 😉

                  I have a vagur memory of a study that threw up safety concerns with arginine especially at larger doses .
                  Anyone have update or comment?

                    I wonder what would be considered a larger dose. I’m taking the Nature’s Truth brand and the bottle says one caplet (1,000 mg), 4 times daily. So, I’m not exceeding that, but you never know if you can trust a bottle. 😆

                    I talked with my doctor at my last physical about my ED issues. I do have low testosterone (~280). I asked him about L-Arginine. He was pretty indifferent about it...he said that it would be fine to try and didn’t seem to have concerns, but he also didn’t seem to have huge hopes for it either. He did end up prescribing me Viagra. I don’t mind using the Viagra on occasion, but I would like to get better erections on a permanent basis rather than just patching it with a drug.

                      For increasing GH, the following study recommends 5-9 g: Growth hormone, arginine and exercise.

                      You should experiment to see what doses work best for you.

                          This isn't the one I was thinking of. But a good source.

                          Damn turned out the Mayo clinic link I posted had commercial content . I was lucky one of the mods didn't ban me.

                            At 100 grams of protein there is about 7-8g of arginine and similar amounts of lysine. The ratios of lysine/arginine vary a bit between protein sources but it's hard to have favor one amino acid over the other from foods. They also deplete each other so a lysine deficiency can be caused by arginine supplementation and vice versa.

                            Arginine weakens immunity and viruses thrive on a high arginine environment. A well documented example are herpes viruses but it probably doesn't end there.

                            So I think doubling your intake of arginine by supplementation is risky. If lysine is supplemented as well to keep the ratio the effects both in good and bad are likely less. High doses of any individual (mineral, amino acid, vitamin) can throw things off balance and cause serious side effects long term.

                            Instead of compensating by supraphysiological vasodilation by manipulating NO pathway you should get your testosterone sorted out. That level is clinically low and likely to cause ED.
