    And I don't mean the AP90, which is just abstaining from porn, but the full-blown NoFap which is no porn, no masturbation, and no edging. Has anyone tried this and found benefits? It has been said to: increase sexual confidence, higher interest in women, boosting testosterone, boosting energy, better sex, better EQ, and overall better mental health.

    I also know some users here report better gains from not self-ejaculating. I've also asked NoFap members if penis exercises are allowed, and they say that it's not recommended but they don't consider it a specific "no no" as long as you're not doing it for purposes of pleasure.

    I've always been anti-porn as I believe porn is the primary founder of the penis size stigma that affects us men, but I've always been pro-masturbation and edging. However now I'm wondering if this community may have a point in abstaining from all three?

    Personally I regard it as somewhat of a cult and do not recommend it.

      From personal experience, I hadn't watched porn for over a month up until a couple of days ago. During that month, I felt much more outgoing in life and I started to fantasize about women in a healthy way. For example, I crushed on girls in my class way more often and I would imagine myself kissing them on the neck, shoulders, working my way down to their breasts etc.

      Whereas I previously viewed women as subjects to be "thrusted into", I began to see them as beings that I wanted to adore and feel a connection with. During that period, I masturbated about once a week only with a fleshlight, just to release some of the frustration of being single and horny. If I masturbated more frequently such as daily, I would notice my energy going down and my interest in going out and socializing drop as well.

          Some guys benefit from stoping porn . In the absence of porn it is difficult to overmasturbate .

          There seems to be some leftover quasi religious guilt over masturbation and some guys seem to have head issues .
          All this vague stuff to support Nofap like "feel more confident" phah.

          Look I don't ejaculate every time I edge but that is different to these 90 day things etc .

            Completely abstaining from ejaculation is probably only useful if you have no sexual thoughts or desires. Otherwise it will rather cause problems and blockades.

              I've gone about 120 or so days and it did help, I was more energetic and generally happier but more sexually "antsy" during that period as well. I did notice an increase in morning wood, random boners, and a boost in EQ during that period. For the first few weeks in I didn't do any PE as it was too tempting to ejaculate afterwards, so keep that in mind. Other then that I recommend trying it but as Pegasus said the users are very cultish on some of those NF sites, even if those sites initially have a good intention in mind.

                      If purely for the purposes of restoring good EQ from overwork of any type- or even for the purposes of reconditioning, a short period of abstinence can have a restorative effect.

                      The general recommendation is to ejaculate 3-4 times a week for training purposes to maintain good general genitourinary fitness and proficiency. One's own needs may differ from this general recommendation, so experimentation may be necessary to find one's optimal level of maintenance.

                              If you plan on being sexually active then preparing for that would require much more frequency of ejaculation.
