Well Joe, you are just blatantly wrong. Finasteride does cause many sexual problems for men, just as anything that reduces DHT can. And DHT still plays a huge role in the penis long after puberty. Its role switches from a mediator for growth to maintaining sexual function. When the penis is androgen deprived, erections become less frequent, veg1 levels fall, tissues become ischemic, tgf1 raises. When tgf1 goes up, erectile tissue undergoes apoptosis (cell suicide), tissue fibrosis and collegen thickening starts, and the corpus cavernosum replaces erectile tissue with adipose tissue (fat).

It's a theory that makes sense. The trick I would think it too do it correctly and for not too long.
Start with a baseline DHT level then start the treatment.
I would only go about for 6 months, then try to kick start production by using supplements
(not only t boosting supps but dht supps like creatine, butea superba )
But then again ,even starving the receptors of dht, the receptor probably shut down anyway to respond via growth phase. I do believe the receptor can be kick started again,perhaps this way, but probably other ways.

I have been on Avodart for 5 years to lower a dangerously high PSA level (Prostate cancer runs in my family). I was healthy , strong and worked out before. I was a "bull". I read the internet and expected to become a bitch titted , crying depressed imbecile with a shrunken dick. I had no choice though, I had to lower PSA levels pronto.

The results , confirmed by blood work, 55% decrease in DHT, 10% decrease in estrogen levels...and here's the kicker-a 43% increase in free testosterone. Weird. ...not if I read the science. This is exactly what the studies predict. But I guess guys online know more than educated scientist who..you know...actually conduct studies.

I wouldn't fool around with hormones period. You go on these drugs to lower PSA levels or BPH. Otherwise, stay away. I had positive results with these dht lowering drugs but I would never fool around with hormones if I didn't have to.

Dude, don't bother. People believe what they want to. I have been on Avodart for 5 years and avodart is more potent dht reducer than Fin. My results are nothing like the guys online. Also, there is a law suit going on so take what you read online with a grain of salt. And homosexuals are going hard against these drugs as homosexuals who have taken them have murdered their sex lives due to the decreased prostate size. Anal sex is no longer enjoyable for them and they report they lost "feelings for men". SO there is a political aspect to hating this drug online.
