The data base on which this is based is the Ansell LifeStyles Condom Cancun study. That study was never published so the methodology was not spelled out and I have read conflicting info as to whether lengths were BPEL or NBPEL.
If you compare the average length and girth data from this study and compare it to other reasonable data sets, it tends to suggest that the length info is something between BPEL and NBPEL, "lightly BPEL" if you will.

I can't click the link, but personally I think there is no use in NBPEL measurements as a means to find an average. Fat pads will always get in the way and I don't think guys that lose maybe 2 inches plus due to NBP measurements should be impressed with it.

Average size is more like 5-6" BPEL.
Starting Size (09/2009): ~7"BPEL x ~5" MSEG
Most Recent Measurement (08/13/2012): 8"BPEL x 5.5"MSEG
Final Goal: When I'm told to stop.

All the major reputable studies come on at similar figures around 5.5 to 6" length.

That thread does not support the notion that average NBPEL is 6-6.5". The thread lists the results reported from a number of group studies and surveys some of which were self-reported and others not. Here are some verbatim extracts discussing the results:
"Out of these high-quality studies, four included a measurement of erect length, the statistic that most interests men at Thunder's Place. Three of these four included direct injections of a drug into the penis to induce a 100% erection -- so their numbers can't be dismissed as too low due to measurement anxiety. The four studies reported average erect lengths ranging from 5.35" BPEL to 5.88" NBPEL (the latter number comes from college students on spring break in Cancun, who probably had small fat pads). For the three studies that did not include erect measurements, we can estimate that the erect figure would have been about 0.25" longer than the reported stretched flaccid length, judging from the differences in studies that included both FSL and EL. For these three additional studies, the average erect length can be inferred to range from 4.46" BPEL to 5.37" (might be NBP or BP).
Studies in which size is verified by a third party, therefore, have consistently turned up averages below those of self-report studies. For example, the famous Kinsey self-report survey found an average NBPEL of 6.16", while a Durex online survey showed an average of 6.4" NBPEL. In my opinion, to trust men's anonymous self-reports over the data of seven objective medical studies demonstrates penis-size paranoia -- something to which we are prone here. If we look at the objective data instead, the average erect penis length appears to be no greater than 5.5 - 6.5" BP -- and may even be smaller."
So those studies that were not self-reported demonstrated average BPEL in the 5.35-5.88" range.
You can also check out this thread which discusses some of the same studies and reaches the same conclusion: http://www.measurection.com/fusionbb...php?tid/22234/
There is also the data from condomania regarding orders they received from over 27,000 men ordering on-line from their line of "custom fit" TheyFit condoms. Men estimated their NBPEL using condomania's "FitKit". Almost exactly 25% of orders were for condoms less than 5 inches in length, 50% for condoms 5-6" in length, and 25% for condoms 6" or longer in length. Of course, condoms can be a bit longer than the penis they are worn on and work perfectly well: http://secure.condomania.com/render....r=FAQ-RANKINGS
I think there is a whole lot of evidence to show that average NBPEL is somewhere in the 5-6" range, and I suspect it might be a bit closer to 5" than 6". Average BPEL may well be in the same range, but closer to 6".Last edited by kingpole; 12-13-2010 at 02:04 AM.

I agree with Redbear, Gandolf--closer to 5" than 6". This is what the porn has done to us--distorted our image of the average-size penis.
