One of several theories. I've tried both and just prefer the warm down. My temp gains from the session seemed to last longer than when I did a cool down. Not saying one is better than the other, I just prefer the "warm down" over the "cool down."

Cool down's are more for skeletal muscle after physical activities. Not much practicality to the penis unless you have swelling from an injury, mostly because there's no build-up of lactic acid to be flushed out of the muscle or excess heat built up from the muscle burning fat that cool-downs are typically for.
Warm downs are far more beneficial. Warmer temps for much longer = even longer increased blood flow.

Well... I would have to disagree. This has nothing to do with swelling or lactic acid. The penis is composed of approximately 50% collagen/connective tissue. Collage becomes pliable under elevated temperatures and "congeals" under cooler ones.
Yes, the studies do focus on skeletal connective tissues, which also, are incidentally composed of primarily collage. But, there is
no reason (I think) to believe that the penile connective tissue would behave any differently under thermo-cryo therapies.

The smooth muscle doesn't build heat like skeletal muscle, so there's no overly elevated temperatures for the tissue to need to be cooled down. Once you remove a heat source like rice sock or heating bad from the penis and do your PE routine, it continuously gets cooler, never hotter. Skeletal muscle will continue to get hotter though, since it produces heat by the burning of calories.
Yes, the penis contains collagen and connective tissue, but there's major differences in the way everything works there with skeletal muscle.

Btw as regard as cool down I can't undestsand its benefit.. doesn't cool temperature shrink the penis?? maybe you can "mold" your dick in an elongate state but what's about the girth?? isn't warmness good for girth and overall penis health??
