    Hello Everyone.

    I've not posted for a while now, but I hope to get back into the swing of things again soon.

    Im still having a frustrating time with PE, part of the reason Ive not posted in a while. But I refuse to ever give up.

    Basically I just wanted to run an idea past the gym. Does the penis work in cycles? When you build skeletal muscle things are fairly simple. Hit them with enough intensity and voulme, rest and recover and EAT right.

    What if the penis works like this: hit it repeatedly for several days in a row (lets say 5-7) stretching the tougher tissues, hopefully softening them and allowing you to push the envelope a little. Then rest to allow things to recover. You see I find it hard to always stay in pefrect positive PIs. I seem to turtle from too much AND too little. MW and EQ suffer alot too. My rotuines are always failry light and short so I cant be overtraining. Sometimes I turtle when I do 1 on 2 off?!

    The one time I thought I had gained was when i did 7 on 1/2 off for a week or two. My PIs for the first few days were good, then after about 3-4 days I turtled more and my erections seemed softer. On my day off I thought I had gained a 1/8th -1/4th inch. I really should have changed nothing because the gain dissappeared.

    I just think MAYBE we must go through some poor PIs for a while then rest and get things back healthy but have grown a little too? Anyone else know what I mean?

    I've come to realize that flaccid hang doesn't mean much for me. It's mainly dependent on the environment and my arousal levels - for example, if I've been religious about my kegel routine and I'm very warm I tend to be full and plump, regardless of my PE routine. I found that I would not hang as well on an everyday routine or 5 on / 2 off routine as I would on an every-other-day routine, but I don't seem to gain well on an every-other-day routine. Stress seems to have something to do with my flaccid state too, so I'm not entirely sure you can go by your flaccid state for erect gains (again, this is just my experience - it could be different for someone else).

    On the other hand, I find that my EQ improves when I do gain. It's not necessarily 10 on a scale of 1-10, and I haven't gotten morning wood in such a long time I don't even care about it, but improved EQ generally does signal that my routine is "working". Kegels also have a large effect on my EQ and I feel that they contribute to gains, if only marginally. Sometimes I do notice that my EQ drops a bit before I gain though, before picking up again... it seems like a silly thought, but it's almost like my penis has to "get used" to the new size.

    Have you done a 5 on / 2 off routine in the past? I'm currently experimenting with this and finding it optimal for me (the 2 days of rest seems to help). I've made all of my gains on a 5 on / 2 off routine, but continuously read that I should be taking more rest days so for a long time I've been doing just every other day routines. They hadn't worked for me.

    I feel that your idea does have merit and you should test it out. What sort of routine are you thinking of trying?

    Have you read the IPR Approach over on Thunders?

    Yes this is EXACTLY the kind of stuff I was trying to get at and didn't manage to articulate brilliantly.

    I agree about flaccid hang. Its CRAZY how it can differ. I used to think that the lighter the routine the better the flaccid hang and less turtling I would see. And sometimes this is true. But sometimes I can get a better flaccid hang by upping the intensity and volume a bit (not to crazy levels...that usually puts me in turtle city).
    I am SURE anxiety and stress play a big part. I remember a time I took a phone call while in a hot bath, something came up in the call which made me feel very anxous and depressed, I watched my penis shink to a tiny size (which depressed me more). The gym can do the same. A heavy workout with weights (on my skeletal muscle) usually shinks my unit for an hour or 3.

    I suppose when you think about it, turtling is just an absense of blood. I think BAD turtling is when the tissue is damaaged to such a degree that the trauma shrinks the tissue rather than just an absence of blood.

    Yes I have looked at the IPR theory a little (and had my own version of it for a short while...manual PE, extender, rest). I think it makes sense on many levels, although I think it would state that each session requires rest would it not? Like you said, you didnt gain much from a day on day off routine. IF what I said was correct about my gain, then I dont think I gained from that routine either. Maybe, even though the theory is great, it just doesnt work for everyone??

    Well I guess one idea would be similar to what I tried before...7 on 1 or 2 off. The PE would be lightish. The key is trying to workout how PIs fit into this type of routine. You have helped alot though keido. I think PIs may not be quite as clear cut as we first thought. On the routine I just mentioned you would almost definately get poor flaccid hang after 3-4 days. You maywell loose morning wood and EQ would prob get softer. BUT if you grow abit and these PIs cycle back to positive PIs after a day or two of rest then fine.

    An interesting point. I sometimes do afew days on without any rest, I rest two days and STILL my PIs dont bounce back. However there was a time I did 14 weeks NON STOP PE. Im talking about up to 7 hours a day (extenders, weights, manuals). My PIs were aweful (no suprise to me now looking back...this was before I had discovered PIs). But then I took some time off, after 1 day off...BANG MW wood back, increase flaccid, EQ improved. One day!! Its like the penis has a memory. If it it used to severe punishment then any rest will be used to recover! If the PE is light and not so serious, it takes longer?? I know this sounds odd but I think there may be a degree of truth to it?!

    Anyway, I will keep thinking on this issue. Getting late now so I better sign off.

    Hey SA, haven't seen you in a long time.

    I am also having a hard time gaining. Here's what I'm doing now:

    It is my understanding that the penis needs a lot of time to heal. By exercising, we constantly stretch and ''break down'' the tissues and structures of the penis. The penis responds by forming a mass of scar tissue beneath the tunica (this is my theory). Therefore every few weeks, I'm going to take 1-2 weeks off from any penile exercising except for sex.

    I would suggest you do the same thing. Take a week off from your penis exercising. See how your penis responds. You'll get your morning wood back. Right now, my flaccid hang is pretty sweet, though it DOES have a lot to do with arousal level. Right now my flaccid is great because 1) I have that good feeling in my penis, where I feel like I wanna jerk off, and 2) My body is very warm right now. Maybe it also has something to do with the fact that I didn't exercise my penis for 4 days now. I'm not sure if I had morning wood this morning, but I'm going to check it out.

    One more tip for you SA, do not masturbate or edge. Let your penis rest. I think you're over training with 5 days on/2days off. That's way too much for the penis. Take two weeks off, start fresh. Turn your jelqs down to 75 per session @ 6 second strokes per jelq. Get a nice partial erect (50% erect) penis for jelqing. Stick to some basic stretching, flaccid bend and JAI. JAI's are very important.

    Also, do you cool down after a session? I cool down, and that makes me turtle like a freaking mini hot dog. I'm going to warm down as soon as I start my workouts again in 3-4 days.

    Maybe you can try neither warming down or cooling down. I hope all goes well for you SA. I hope you come back to us soon because we haven't heard from you since we became mods. Take care.

    Wow hold on.

    I just took measurements and I am 7 inches long none bone pressed and I go well over 5.25 inches in girth.

    This is all thanks to taking a little break from PE. Trust me on this one SA.

    Hi SA, I chose to answer you in this thread instead of my log, seeing that you started this thread revolving around a topic that I myself find more and more interesting.

    All my limited experience in PE has made me increasingly convinced that the secret is in cycles. Yesterday I read through my log, and it slowly dawned on me that I've been doing a form of IPR all the way. Maybe not as structured as Xenoliths approach, and the part where he uses fibonacci numbers still evades my understanding, but nontheless I have been taking the long breaks he and others recommends and have seen gains through this.

    Actually, as we speak I'm reading through the IPR theory for the twentyeth time, and after sifting through Thunders for the thousand time I've managed to find a couple of other interesting threads regarding the subject, where the subject discussed is mainly strategic deconditioning breaks.

    The main goal is to make small gains, and then take a break to get back to as close as possible newbie-condition, many has experienced that when doing this aproach they get small but instant gains when starting up again. Further on it's a way of putting in minimum effort and still achieve good results.

    I still don't understand why I grow the way I do, and it's irking me that I mainly grow in length and almost nada in girth, but each cycle brings me a little closer to an answer.
