Thread: Dealing with heat
- 06-02-2012 #1
I'm almost positive my sperm count is really low. How do you handle dealing with excess heat to increase your sperm count?
right now, I lay down while using my computer, that is, I lay on my stomach and many times, my testicles descend a great deal (over heating) and they say that stops production of sperm completely.
What ways (other than standing up with boxers and shorts on all the time) can you increase your likelihood of procreational success?
I'm almost positive I'm "sterile" right now because of how much time I spend on my stomach and how often my jewelry Bag hangs low (it's not really a low hanger typically) LOL!

as an aside, I'm told that sitting for long periods of time also creates a lot of heat and reduces your sperm count. I have a 4 hour commute 3-4 days a week. LOL!
Seems like it's a statistical improbability I will get ANYONE pregnant for another year or so, with a change of habit LOL!

How does lying on your stomach effect sperm count? That makes no sense to me. The excess heat shouldn't matter and your balls should compensate. Also, when the sack is inefficient, it regains its efficiency when maintained at the right temperature for a substantial time frame.
I have heard pelvic floor work has aided blood flow in the region, allowing for a better sperm count, but there is no hard evidence. Did you get tested for a low sperm count or are you just assuming yours is low?"If you want a log you need to keep a log." - Tinkerbell

Your sperms arejust fine. Ask them when you see them. Plus I wouldn't go around thinking you're not going to get anyone pregnant!

^Agreed.
Pregnancy, more than anything, is about luck. Sometimes it just doesn't happen. You can increase the likelihood of pregnancy by tracking menstrual cycles and having more sex during ovulation.

Excess heat causes the testes to shut down production.
Like right now I'm consciously keeping my legs open to get sperm count up. (To increase air flow, i'm a big guy, so my thigh cover all of my genitalia when I lay on my stomach).
It's not something I did on purpose, except for a while when I was with my ex-friend. I wore tight shorts for 3 weeks straight and laid on my stomach with my legs closed up tight to make sure to keep them over heated. reduced the sperm count. It was a means of birth control for me and the old partner... but now that I'm used to operating my computer like this, and I don't have a desk, I'm trying to figure out the mot comfortable way to do this and reduce the heat on my jewels LOL!Last edited by somebodyelse; 06-02-2012 at 03:59 PM.
