    Interesting thoughts.

    I am starting to see how the rep/sets benefits the beginners of PE, as JonPop had mentioned. And yes, like jb357, it's hard to keep track of the rep/set especially if you are trying to do more justice on the jelq than on the count, so I often lose count as well.

    I just realized, most of the bodybuilders and fitness freaks (myself included) are into rep/sets. On another note, though, the penile muscle is different than the other muscles in the body, hence this thread.

    I think I'll stick with time-based PE for now, I just finished only two weeks of it anyway. Hope others would benefit from the thoughts shared here.

    What I've learned in my previous experiences in losing motivation in fitness and in PE is that I shouldn't think of them as added activities I am required to put extra effort in finishing, but as part of my daily life and I'd be happy to accomplish them.

    I've always counted my jelq reps. I have very slight OCD tendencies, and I think that is why. I haven't gained from jelqing though, mostly due to not sticking to a routine.

    I'm considering switching over to timing myself when I jelq.
