Thread: Time-based or Rep/Set-based PE?
- 12-14-2009 #1
I know this is a minor consideration for the beginners who are still lost with finding the right kind of routine they'd want to stick with, but I just am curious as to how people view the difference between time-based PE and rep/set-based PE.
As for me (who, as of this time, is still doing only jelqs with increasing time), I find time-based PE much more beneficial because you don't have to keep track of the count and set you have finished, given that I set an alarm as to when my time-based jelqing would end. With that, I can concentrate on the quality of the jelq, not the quantity. I am not against rep/set-based PE, though, I would just like to know who prefers which, or if this has been something someone else besides me considered when constructing their own routine.
Any thoughts?

Looks like I posted at the wee hours of the night for most people here.
What I've learned in my previous experiences in losing motivation in fitness and in PE is that I shouldn't think of them as added activities I am required to put extra effort in finishing, but as part of my daily life and I'd be happy to accomplish them.

Well i dont time my sessions but i use set/reps but my whole routine usually lasts about an hour. 10 warm up 20 stretch 20-25 jelq 5 min warm down. I dont mean for it to last this long but i focus on good reps and making sure everything is stretched out right and such. So i guess i kinda use both? lol

Well, would you say you are able to do quality PE, as in listen to how your penis reacts, when you do your time-based routine?

I don't like to focus on time. I prefer to focus on quality, unless I'm pumping. Then I have to focus on time.

The reason I set a certain amount of reps in my 90 day routine is; To keep beginners from overdoing on Jelqing. I still count reps, this keeps me focused. (jP

The reason why I dont jelq much is because I hate counting reps and I hate having to look at the time.
I count reps. So should you.Starting stats: October 15th, 2008 - NBPEL: 6.25' EG: 5.00'
Current stats October 15th, 2009 - (100% erection) NBPEL: 7.20' EG: 5.375'
Goal: NBPEL: 8' EG: 6' (objective: girth)

I count reps for two reasons... No clock in shower, and I do better when I have a set amount rather than a time limit. I find I take my time and do more quality than quantity.
Starting Size (09/2009): ~7"BPEL x ~5" MSEG
Most Recent Measurement (08/13/2012): 8"BPEL x 5.5"MSEG
Final Goal: When I'm told to stop.

I personally started out counting reps but then it got to where I'd lose count or forget to count so I started going by time.
