  • Mystery Pain Has Been Taking My Soul 2 Years Now...Need Advice

First time poster here. Came here for one reason and one reason only - a mysterious groin pain that has lasted about 2 yrs, largely from my own faults and mistakes.

I come from one of the major porn addiction forums. Not really much of an addict anymore to be honest, though the thought of porn still does make me want to view it. My biggest problem is a groin pain I developed from edging, I think.

It's a long and complicated history, but the basic facts are thus:

    - About 2 years ago, I was in the middle of a porn binge. Just kept pushing the physical limits. Typically, I would do this and recover in about 3-4 days, with all pain and soreness disappearing. This time however, I felt some serious pain in the left groin area. Deep in there though, not the actual groin you might tear playing sports.

    - The pain simply remained. I let it go but continued to edge and watch porn (dumb). The pain came raging back, then subsided, but was always subtly there.

    - Standing actually produces the least amount of pain, unless it's for a very long time

    - Laying down actually produces a great deal of pain, surprisingly

    - Sitting is about medium pain

    - I've been in a hellish on and off again masturbation cycle, one that is not typical of the average Joe. Maybe once every 30 days, then about 2-3 days in the week that follows due to the "chaser" effect.

    - Then the pain roars back, and stays for 2 weeks until it goes ALMOST dormant. The 'almost' is the killer...

    - While edging or masturbating, there is NO pain. Seems impossible, but it's true. Seems the pleasure and dopamine spike outweighs it.

    - The pain feels deep inside, possibly the pelvic floor, or the muscle you would move with kegels (not an expert on this subject)

    - Have general problems taking a piss. Weak stream, sometimes starts, stops, but this hasn't been too bad lately. Urologist couldn't find anything...

    - Urologist did a cystoscopy - wasn't fun - but luckily, nothing was found, so the piping appears OK

    - MRI turned up nothing, so they say...

    - Pain is still there - just hangs around subtly until another session. I may need to just man the fuck up and do a hard 90 days no masturbation.

    - Always have morning wood, no problems there

    - Can get it up quickly if I looked at porn

Wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience or knows a way to combat this. Yes, I know rest is probably the solution but I can't even say if it's really a muscle pain (though it's my belief that is.)

Is the pelvic floor extremely weak? Would it require a ton of recovery time? Is there another muscle in there that could be torn/strained?

Any help appreciated guys. Hoping this forum has some insightful people.

    Seems you keep aggravating it.
No constipation going on there ?

Doing any gym work, exercises, to be considered ?

        What he said.

If that fails, try another one, don't settle for one's diagnosis if it does you no help. Repeat this if necessary with other types of specialists. Don't be afraid to go outside of mainstream medical help either. Done correctly, acupuncture works for both pain relief and healing. A sports medicine specialist might know something a regular doc doesn't. Maybe a kinesiologist.

Just don't give up. Sounds like everything is right with you except some kind of a muscle issue, possibly your pelvic floor, or maybe it's a ligament connected to the pelvic floor. I'm shooting in the dark and the only important thing is, first line I wrote above.
        Current stats (Nov. 2020):
        BPEL- 9" (23 cm)
        EG- 6.25" (16 cm)

        Goals for Nov. 2021:
        BPEL- 10" (25.4 cm)
        EG- 7.25" (18.4 cm)

No constipation - gym and exercise often, doesn't seem to aggravate it much, though it could keep it from settling down.

I'm hoping to find someone who has had a similar issue (only found one other potential case) directly related to masturbation. I'm thinking it may just take 90 days or more of as much rest as possible, and no sex or masturbation. Tough, but what else can you do.
